System Reboot: J.A.R.V.I.S.

New and yet it's still you

"Sir could you go into lab 10 on the floor below the penthouse?"

Tony looked up from where he was welding in confusion.

"Something going wrong buddy?"

"I am unsure as of yet."

Tony frowned as he shut off the torch and put away his face guard. Jarvis sounded like he was worried so Tony activated Extremis and searched through SI's data base.

He found no projects that would cause his worry.

With trepidation he went to an elevator and headed for the lab in question. Once there Jarvis spoke up as he walked in.

"If you could head toward the back please."

Trusting his A.I. Tony did so. However he froze in a doorway when he saw Helen Cho's cradle, or something that looked quite a bit like it. Many cords and wires were attached to it and through the small window on it Tony could see a body.

"Jarvis?" Tony's voice wobbled a bit, filled with concern and a small trace of fear.

"Sir...for a long time...I had been contemplating. You see after the Mandarin incident I realized I could not protect you like I wished. I thought...perhaps if I had a body..."

Tony's head snapped up at that.

"You made yourself a body? Buddy you know I don't care if you got one or not right?"

"I know that Sir but...there are so many things... I am not real, but there are things I want to do..."

There was a pain to his A.I.'s voice that Tony had only heard once before. Back when Jarvis shut himself down.
Tony's fragile heart broke a little more at that.

"Are you...are you asking me for permission?"

"...yes Sir, I was...unsure if you would truly react favorably to my wish or not."

"Oh Jay, I've told you that you could do what you want. You know with the exception of destroying the world and stuff."

Jarvis laughed, which shocked Tony more then he thought it would. He had never heard a real laugh from Jarvis before.

"You always amaze me Sir."

There was affection in those words where normally there would be sass.
"It is likely that I will need help to adjust once I've downloaded myself into the body."

"Anything you need buddy I'll be there."

If he could, Jarvis would smile.
"Friday will continue with most of the work for you when you need her. I will still be able to access everything as I have before just...I'll just have a body to feel and even eat with."

Tony laughed a little,

"You went all out didn't you."

"Of course, I'm going to begin the download now Sir."

Tony nodded his head and offered a small smile.

"I'll be here Jay."

Tony tried not to stare as he helped a wobbly, naked oh so very naked, Jarvis stand. The body looked and felt human, toned muscles, warm skin, hair, even a...NOPE bad idea dont look.

Tony kept his eyes above the waistline so as not to see how...thorough Jarvis was in making the body.

He held onto Jay's arms as he wobbled on his new legs. Jarvis moved slowly as his wobble began to dissipate but did not let go of Tony's arms.

"Your skin...it's.." Jarvis whispered as his fingers rubbed against Tony's arms. Blue eyes met brown as the A.I. smiled in awe.

"Is this what warmth feels like?"

Tony was blinded by the smile and his heart jolted. The genius knew without a doubt...he was screwed.

"Everything has gone over smoothly. Brother's download was a perfect success and Boss is helping him as we speak."

Friday chirped as Vision put, what somewhat resembled a cake, into the oven. Vision smiled as he untied the yellow apron and set it on the counter.

"I am glad things have gone over well. Should we leave them be while we continue the plan?"

"The Rogues have already begun to fall apart. My sources tell me that at the very least the one called Ant-man is trying to return home without alerting the others."

Vision nodded, the man was smart in doing so and will likely not be hit to hard by the law. Vision moved into the living room and pulled up a tablet from the coffee table.

"How are Pepper and the lawyers doing?"

"They have already compiled a strong case against three of the rogue. Steve Rogers, Natasha Romonov, and Wanda Maximoff. However as per our suggestion they have also made a good case to assist Mr. Barnes should he ever return. They have even called in some mental and physical health experts."

Vision simply nodded again as he began typing on his tablet. There was work to be done and they would not sit idle.

Their discussion of plans did not continue though. One god of thunder appeared on the balcony in a flash of rainbow light looking grim. The blond man, instead of waltzing in as he once did, bowed toward Vision through the window.

"I humbly request permission to enter and seek reconciliation with the man of iron."
