I rushed to every corner of the house to search for it and my mom followed me everywhere I went to undo the mess I made. I was moving everywhere in the house, so I could search for my glasses and then I went to the same tidy place where I had searched before and my mother has to tidy it again to confuse me, over and over again.
"Mom, stop it. It's a tragic time for me" I said a bit raising my voice as I couldn't find my glasses and this lady making it so difficult for me to find it. And yes, I dared to glare at her through my blurry vision.
"You mister, do not raise your voice at me and you should stop messing my house." I rolled my eyes and began searching for my glasses, again.
"Advik."
"Mom."
"I always tell you to keep your glasses with you. But why would you listen to me." She said taking the couch cushion from my hand. I looked at her again with my blurry vision. I was frustrated to a point that I sit down on couch grumpily.
"What's this behaviour now?" She asked.
"I can't see." I said.
"Then think, try to remember where you kept your glasses.?" Mom asked and I closed my eyes trying to remember where I had kept them, but as I couldn't remember that, I tried to remember the time I was wearing them.
Last Night - I remember I dropped Eshan back to his home as I can remember his face clear as the moon in the lonely sky. Thinking about his face made me smile and that smile questioned my dear mother.
"Now why would you smile at this "tragic time"?" She asked and yes she was standing there expecting me to remember what I supposed to remember, but instead I smiled remembering my best friends face.
"Nothing. I was wearing them last night." I told her.
"Then where in the freaking world they disappeared." I narrowed my eyes as my mom screams.
"I don't know, ok. I should have not damaged the extra spare and it's your fault....."
"My fault? How can it be my fault." She asked putting her both hands on her waist and looking down at me for a serious answer.
"If you have given me money to buy new glasses I wouldn't be here getting late for college."
"You mister watch your tone, and how can I lend you money if you never ask for it.?" She asked and yes she had a point and I just hid my face in my palms as I felt like my life has ended.
And then a voice of angle protected down from the stairs, saying,
"Advik, you left your glasses in the bathroom. Boy, I almost flushed them." I rushed to dad who had my glasses in his hand. I kindda snatched them from him and wore it and my world seems clear again.
"Dad you saved my life." I hugged him.
"Ummm.. alright?" He said.
"Cool, I am leaving now..." I rushed to the door and I heard my mom saying,
