x Chapter One x
"Are you excited?" Sydney asked my shakily as she jumped up and down like a squirrel that just drank a whole gallon of coffee.. I dont know why she gets so hyped up about these things. But then again , i do get very excited myself....
"Noooooooo..." I replied over sarcastically. She looked at me surprised.
Hasn't she gotten used to my sarcastic replies by now? "OF COURSE I'M EXCITED!" I shouted back with a 'duhh' face.
We were about to enter our annual graduation party held for the senior class that graduated.
We have been waiting for such a long time and after the longest wait ever, we finally entered. There was rides, roller coasters, mazes, scary houses, booths with multiple games, and even face painters everywhere. They really out-did themselves this year. The decoration needed a bit of help though....
Sydney thought it'd be a good idea to eat something first , even though i disagreed she made me look around with her.We scanned the carnival for a good food stand. My eyes got caught on a bright red stand with a sign that read 'Candy!'
"Syd , syd! Lets go there!! I want some candy!!"I shouted out to her. She was getting side tracked by a group of cute boys. Of course.
" Wha-where?" She said snapped into reality.
"Over there!" I said while grabbing her face and pointing it in the direction of the food stand.
" Ohhhh, okay! Let's go!" She shouted happily. She probably realized the sign said 'Candy!' and got all happy.She loved candy.Your probably thinking ' Ohh everyone loves candy!' but Sydney, she was OBSESSED with candy.
We waltzed over to the stand and waited in line behind a cute couple.I couldn't help it but think of Zayn. We grew up in Bradford together but both our families moved to London when Zayn's uncle passed.
"May i take your order?"The lady in the food stand said impatiently.
" Ohh uhhh sorry, uhh 2 jumbo lollipops please." I replied quickly , i didn't want to keep her wait any longer.
" Your order will be ready soon..." She replied bluntly.
" Okay thank you!"I said before we walked away to sit.Even tough she wasn't being the nicest person in the world to me i still wanted to be nice.
We sat down on a green bench near by. Green reminded me of Zayn , because when we were kids we would roll down the grass hill at the playground during recess.When we got older Zayn auditioned for the Xfactor, I was there at the side of the stage cheering him on. When he got grouped up with the lads i was one of the first to meet them.Ever since then the lads and i have been super close. Why do i keep thinking of Zayn so much?!
"Kiara? Do you miss Zayn?" Sydney caught me of guard,
What of course i miss Zayn! Was she reading my mind? How did she know i was thinking about him?!
