After being brutually murdered in the name of all that’s right and fair Ryssa’s soul wasn’t taken to the Underworld- Hades’ realm where her afterlife would’ve been decided- as was the custom.
No, she was taken to an entirely different place. A place completely unknown to her people and ancestors. A place cynics only belive to be a creation of the gullible mind. A place called Heaven.
Whether it was because of all the suffering she had lived through for her little brother (Acheron Parthenopaeus) and for her people by agreeing to be betrothed to a Greek God-Apollo. Or maybe it was for her kind heart and strong soul that saw her through these difficult times without her losing her faith in all that’s good.
Or maybe it was all the above which made God take special care to ensure she ended up in His realm. You see, he had plans. The plans he wasn’t sure he should act upon. Plans whose result was quite vague and dangerously so. But he chose to take one step forward and let the pieces fall as they may.
So, he made her angel.
