Evan Jumped out of the car as soon as we parked and rushed to open my door before I even had a chance to put my hand on the handle. He was such a gentleman. He took my hand and led me to the little Italian restaurant that he had picked out. I have never been but it smelled delicious, but it also looked fancy. "I thought I wasn't supposed to dress fancy!" I glared at him but couldn't help but smile. " Its not fancy dont worry!" He swung our hands back and forth. We walked in and the whole restaurant was filled with couples. He was right the people weren't dressed fancy but the restaurant looked fancy. All the tables had the red candle in the middle and the room was dimly lit. The food looked delicious and as I thought that my stomach growled. "Lets get you fed." Evan looked down and our eyes met, we both smiled.
He ordered for me and the waitress brought out a nice bottle of wine. " I don't usually drink." I told him. " Neither do I." He smirked and poured out two glasses. We talked through dinner and the food was Amazing! He paid for the meal even though I protested. We walked out with his arm around my shoulders and now we were in the car, him glancing in the rear view mirror trying to back out. " Well did you enjoy the dinner?" He asked me, quickly glancing at me before turning his attention back to the road. " Yes I did, very." I responded. " Are you tired yet?" He said without looking at me. " No, not at all. Are you?" I asked. " No and i'm glad your not because I have more plans." Yes! I would have fist pumped if I was by myself. "Yay!" I said instead. He laughed and he turned onto the main street where all the shops were. It was almost eight, but all the stores stayed open late, especially on a Friday night.
The Street was busy and he took the first parking spot we found. He did the door thing again and we joined hands as we walked down the street. "Oh! A papaya!" I pointed at the clothing store.He rolled his eyes," Oh fine!" I dragged him into the store. We wandered around and I spotted a bunch of stuff. He broke away and went to look around by himself. " Piper! Look at what I found." Evan called from across the store. He came jogging up to me holding a beautiful, beige dress that had a lace design and brown leather belt around the ribs, with ruffles at the top. It went to about mid thigh and I was in love. " Oh my god, its beautiful!" I said He shook his hand and grabbed my hand leading me to the dressing rooms. " One" He said the lady. She led us to the very last room with a chair out front and Evan sat down in it. " Come out when you have it on" He told me with a sweet smile.
I put it on and it fit perfectly. It hugged my chest but wasnt to tight on the lower part. I was in love. " Its perfect!" I shouted out of the dressing room and heard him quitly laugh. I slowly opened the door. And his mouth dropped, " Its beautiful." He told me in a soft voice. " Turn around." he told me with a grin. I spun in a circle and he clapped. " Well your getting it." He commanded me. "Haha" I laughed effortlesly, " I know!" I went back in the dressing room and put on my other clothes. I hung up the dress and left the room. I Had a little money left over from this weeks pay check, I think I can afford it, if not I will put it on hold. It was twenty five bucks. I can get it. " I will carry it." Andy offered as we walked to go look at shoes. I handed it over to him.
They had the cutest strappy sandals that matched the dress perfectly. They even had my size! I turned around to show them to Evan. " Look how perfect these are, they match and are my size." I looked all around he wasn't there! "Hmmm..." I thought out loud. I put down the shoes on the bench promising myself to come back for them. I went and searched the whole store. And when I arrived back at the shoe section he was sitting there with a bag in his hand and a straw hat on his head. The hat was really cute on him. " I love the hat" I commented, " but where were you!" He laughed and handed me the bag. I opened it up and pulled out the dress, the shoes, and a leather bracelet that had a silver heart in the middle. My jaw dropped, " Evan! You bought me this!?" " Yep" He said casually popping the P. It had to be over a hundred bucks! He was standing up now grinning from ear to ear. I reached into my purse and pulled out my wallet. " No!" He jumped on top of me and got me in a bear hug. " Let me go!" I screamed at him with a smile. "Not until you promise me that you will put your wallet away!" I rolled my eyes but nodded my head, I would find another way to pay him back.
We went into a few more stores. He bought two outfits that I picked out for him, and then we got ice cream and headed home. We climbed into the car and he took off his hat and put it on me. We both smiled the whole way home.
