The sun rises and they wake up. "Good morning," Oliver says, half awake. "Morning," Riley responds. Carter gets out of bed with his eyes half open. "I feel awful," he says. "Yeah! Me too," Oliver says. Aubree wakes up a couple minutes later, swallowing in an uncomfortable way. "You all sound terrible," Aubree says, after quickly realizing she sounds horrible. "You've gotta be serious," Carter yells. "Yay we're sick," Riley says in a sarcastic way, coughing multiple times afterward. "Should we not go explore today?" Oliver asks. "I think we can, we've just got to see if we're up for it," Aubree responds. "And how are we going to do that?" Riley asks. "We've got to help each other out," Carter responds. "Let's just examine each other, that way we'll see if we can go or not," Aubree insists. "That sounds fine to me," Oliver says, coughing. "Should we go in chronological order?" Carter asks. "Uhh, how about I examine Carter and vice versa, and Aubree will examine Oliver and vice versa," Riley responds. They all nod their heads, grab some tools, and spread out.

"I've finally come up with an idea!" Cinder exclaims, waking up Mercury and Emerald. "Well, what is it?" Mercury asks, wide awake. "It's pretty simple. I'm not up for a fight today so we'll find another day to do it. But, it wouldn't be hard just do the battle outside and wait for them to show up," Cinder explains. "That's not a half bad idea," Emerald responds. "Well, I'm gonna go train," Mercury says. "Yeah move it or lose it, don't be rusty for when we plan this kidnapping," Cinder says. "I'm alright but it wouldn't hurt," Emerald says. "Alright see you guys later, be back whenever, I'll be here," Cinder says. Mercury and Emerald leave to go and train for the upcoming "fight/kidnapping" of Team ACRO. Cinder heads to the computer lab to research the four kids to see how worthy they really are.

"Alright Aubree, I want to make this quick and easy. You're obviously having trouble swallowing. Let me take a look down your throat to see what we're all dealing with," Oliver says. Aubree nods her head. Oliver grabs his flashlight and tongue depressor and gets it set. "Okay Aubree, can you please stick out your tongue out and say 'ehhh'?" Oliver asks. "Ehhh," Aubree says opening her mouth. Oliver gently lays the tongue depressor down and shines the light. "Oh man, this looks really painful. Uh huh, mm-hmm. And that should do it," Oliver says. Aubree closes her mouth and coughs a couple times. "Aubree, it was extremely red back there," Oliver concludes. "I already knew that," Aubree responds. Aubree examines Oliver, and she concludes the same thing.

"Okay Riley, I'm going to try and make this fast. It would make complete sense that it hurts terribly to swallow. Let me have a look at your throat to see what's going on," Carter says. Riley nods her head. Carter grabs himself a flashlight and a tongue depressor. "Alright Riley, please put out your tongue and say 'ehhh'," Carter says. "Ehhh," Riley says. Carter gently lays the tongue depressor down and shines the light down. "Ouch, looks bad. Uh huh, uh huh, mm-hmm, mm-hmm. And that's good," Carter says. Riley closes her mouth. "Riley, it was bright red in all directions," Carter concludes. "That's obvious," Riley responds. They alternate and Riley examines Carter, concluding the same diagnosis.

"I think we can do it," Aubree says. "Yeah, we're strong. We can totally do it," Carter responds. They head outside the campus and walk around, talking. "I wonder when we can see Mercury again," Aubree says. Riley's stomach starts to turn. "You okay Riley?" Oliver asks. "Yeah I'm fine," Riley responds. "Are you sure? Was it when I mentioned Mercury?" Aubree asks. "Yep, I still don't really like him," Riley says. "Do you think he's evil?" Carter asks. "Now that you mention it, I do," Riley says. Riley is right, but the others don't know it. "I feel like we're in danger too," Riley adds. "Like people trying to find us or something?" Oliver asks. "Yes! Yes, I do!" Riley yells. "Then we'd better grab our weapons and head outside first thing in the morning!" Carter says. They talk about it more. "I'll hide in a tree and wake up earlier. They won't even see me. I'll call you when they get there," Riley says. "Alright deal," Aubree says. They walk along until they can't do it anymore. The day's already spent and they flop into their beds, all clean from a steaming hot shower. They doze off an hour after.

Mercury and Emerald return from their training. "How was it?" Cinder asks. "It was pretty good," Emerald says. "Same here," Mercury responds. "Good, good. I did some research while you were gone," Cinder smiles. "What'd you find?" Mercury asks. "Lots of stuff. They're healers and are apparently really good with their weapons. They have a curse that causes a complete loss of their voice. Oh, and their parents died when they were 11," Cinder explains. "Wow," Emerald says. "They seem powerful," Mercury says. "They can't get through the three of us though," Cinder smiles. "Yeah, we're really strong," Mercury says. "When do we leave?" Emerald asks. "First thing in the morning," Cinder says. "I guess we'll head off to sleep," Mercury says. "Yep, rest up, it's going to be eventful tomorrow," Cinder smiles, and then cackles.
