Gotta be you (A One Direction fan fiction)

Chapter 6

I am so sorry!!! I know I said I would update like a week ago but I have been really busy and I had a nasty case of writers block!

I also apoligize in advance for the crappinest of this chapter. Net one will be longer and ten times better but this one is just kinda of a filler chapter.

Beep. Beep. Beep.

Ughhh I thought I didn't set my alarm clock last night. Wait, that doesn't sound like my alarm clock. My alarm clock is more like a shrill shrieking noise that can be heard from a mile away. This noise was more steady and rhythmic.

Beep. Beep. Beep.

I groaned and then stretched. My whole body ached and when I breathed in I felt a sharp pain in my lungs. Opening my eyes, I looked around and saw that I was in a white room with way to bright fluorescent light that made my eyes hurt.

Realization dawned on me and I figured out I was in a hospital. 'Wait, how did I get here?' I thought to myself.

Suddenly memories of the fight with my dad came flooding back me. Him kicking and punching me until I blacked out. Then me waking up and calling Harry and the others. The rest I can't remember but I'm assuming that they brought me to the hospital.

I looked around again and saw that I was the only person in this room. Where did they all go? As if answering my question, the door to the hallway opened and in came Niall and Liam.They were talking about something and didn't notice that I was awake.

"I called dibs first but Harry thinks he did," Niall ranted to Liam.

"I know but even if you did Harry won't back down so both of you are going to have to fight for her" Liam told Niall.

"But," Niall looked up and stopped talking abruptly when he saw that my eyes were open. Liam followed his gaze and his eyes also met mine.

They were both shocked for a couple seconds before running up to my side and hugging me.I winced in pain because their strong grips were hurting my broken ribs and they let go.

"We were so worried about you. Are you okay?" Liam asked while looking down at me.

"Yeah but my head hurts," I groaned.

"Niall go get the nurse," Liam ordered.Niall quickly got up and ran out the door looking for the nurse.

"Where's everyone else?"

"Harry,Louis, and Zayn are all downstairs in the cafeteria and Anne had to go to work but she'll be back soon."

It was silent after that until Niall burst through the room with a nurse following behind him. The nurse looked like she had just gotten out of college and had a kind face. She quickly checked all of the monitors that were hooked up to me before giving me some medicine to to get rid of the pain in my head.

"The doctor will be in here soon to look over you," she said before she left.

After she left we turned on the TV and were watching an old episode of The Simpsons. We were just at a really funny part when the door burst open and Harry and the others ran into the room.

"Liam texted me that you were awake," he said before hugging me. The rest of the boys followed each of them giving me a big comforting hug.

We spent the rest of the day just watching TV and talking in my room.

It was late at night and all the other boys had left except Harry and Zayn who chose to spend the night with me. Zayn was already asleep so it was just me and Harry awake. They gave us one cot and Zayn called it so Harry had to settle for the uncomfortable plastic chair next to my bed.

"Thank you Harry, for everything."Harry nodded and gave me a soft smile.

"Goodnight Ariana."

"Night Harry."

I was on the verge of sleep but Harry kept moving around in his chair trying to get comfortable. It was starting to get annoying so I scooched over in the bed and patted the empty spot.

He hesitated at first but then climbed in next to me and wrapped his arms around me. He kissed my forehead and then closed his eyes and laid his head next to mine on my pillow. I cuddled into his warm embrace and them fell into a dreamless sleep.
