21. Louis is Coming to Town

Night of January 25th and the HQ is very peaceful that night. An intense day of training just ended a few hours ago and everyone is dead asleep in their own quarters. However, Levine stayed for the night in the Ackerman house after helping out in tidying up a nursery room somewhere in it earlier. And like Levi at the moment, neither of them can sleep.

Hazel on the other hand, is sound asleep in their bed as the brothers stay outside with a warm cup of tea each.

"So Louis, huh? Quite a pretty name," Levine said, taking a sip on his cup in a weird way as Levi did the same, "Did you consulted any doctor to know the baby's name?"

"Tch, no need for that. It will only make the one helping to deliver an idiot if we know," Levine raised an eyebrow at Levi and asked.

"What do you mean?"

"What if Hange says, 'it's a girl!' and Hazel and I just stare at her like she's crazy and declaring something we already know," Yami slightly laughed at Levi's idea where Levine wanted to laugh in Levi's lack of humor in that joke. How ironic.

"Wait. So what if it--" Levine was cut off with a high-pitchedscream from inside the house. The two of them stood up and Levi ran into the house, finding Hazel, awake and clutching her sides. Levine stayed by the door with a clueless look on his face.

"What the hell is goung on?" Levine asked, completely clueless about the situation. Levi took Hazel's hand and the blonde squeezed it tight.

"The baby's coming!" Hazel screamed as her nose scrunch up. A worried look suddenly appeared on Levi's expressionless face and Levine finally had an idea about the situation.

"You're giving birth?" He asked and Hazel growled and huffed. She seems to say something before scrunching her nose again.

"We need to call Hange! Hurry!" She finally said and Levine nodded, dashing out the house towards the stable where Zorro neighed, wide awake. A smirk appeared on Levine's face.

"You're alert. Good. A reason why I chose you," he said, jumping up to Zorro's back, not bothering to attach the harness. The pair raced towards the HQ which is not so far from the Ackerman house to get Hange immediately.

Once they arrived, Levine jumped down Zorro as the white stallion neighed, startling the sleeping occupants of the HQ. Eren jolted up, almost falling off his bed and went wide awake when Zorro neighed again.

Levine ran up to Hange's office, not bothering to knock and opened the door, startling the brunette woman off her short nap.

"Get your ass up and come with me," he said, coldly and grabbed her hand earning protests in a rather loud voice, waking most of the sleeping soldiers up.

"What the hell is going on?" Jean asked, arriving with the rest of the squad only to see Levine dragging a protesting Hange who kept on saying things about needing to see her precious babies in dreamland.

"What happened?" Eren questioned with an eyebrow raised. Mikasa sighed and ran pass them.

"The baby's coming," she calmly said and the rest of them gasped.

"Whaaat?!" Connie and Sasha exclaimed with tired eyes turning wide, but before Mikasa could say anything again, she's already out of sight together with the first two who left.

"Come on! This'll be interesting!" Eren grinned and ran too.

"Hey, Stupid Onii-san!" Levine yelled, pushing Hange inside the house. Hazel was panting heavily and Hange instantly stood up and pushed her glasses up.

"Oh so the baby's coming!" She excitedly exclaimed.

"You think?!" The couple retorted, glaring at her and Hange scooted away imagining that after the baby was born, it'll be glaring at her too.

"Just hurry up, Shitty Titan-freak," Levine said and Hange gulped and got to work.

"Alright. I hope the kids a bundle of joy," she said and started telling the brothers what to do, " I need warm water and some clean cloth. Hurry up!"

"Tch," the brothers both say and went to get what is needed.

After getting what is needed, Hange told Levine to wait farther away from the house as Levi assist her. While sitting on a rock, the rest of the squad waited with him. Eren stood beside him with Armin squatting right in front of him as the rest do their own business. 6 hours have passed already and it's around 3 in the morning of January 26th.

"Hey, what do you think the kid will look like?" Armin asked, smiling. Eren grinned and snickered.

"Well, imagine it having Heichou's eyes and the rest Hazel-san's look," he said and Levine raised an eyebrow.

"Tch, you laughed as if you thought of a silly appearance, but your combination is still good looking," he said and the brunette nudged him on the back.

"You got a silly appearance, huh, Levine?" He challenged and Levine grabbed his arm and swinging him around.

"Why would I think of a silly appearance of my possible niece or nephew even if I know that our dominant trait is good looking?" Everyone heard him and stopped, staring wide eyed at the older soldier. They've never heard Levine give himself a compliment and usually practice humility when it comes to his looks and here he is, saying stuff about their good looking genetic inheritance.

"Wow. Never thought you'll take pride of your look one day, Levine. Pfft," Yami snickered, laughi g at the ravenette.

"Who are you and what have you done with Levine?" Mikasa glared and he glared back.

"Tch, just shut up," he said and Sasha laughed.

"Oh my god. You actually took pride of your looks. So not Levine-ish!" She said, laughing loudly making Levine growl and look away.

"Hazel-san will have to file a leave of absence for a few months before coming back to the Survey Corps, right?" Connie asked, but Mikasa shook her head with her arms crossed.

"I heard that Hazel-san will not participate in any activities conducted by the Survey Corps for a year or two," she said makibg the whole squad gasped in disbelief.

"It's true. Someone has to take care of the baby until they can  find someone trustworthy enough to take care of the kid for them," Levine added and Mikasa continued.

"But Hazel-san will still be training the Shifters," she said and turned to her shifter friends who flinched and Levine playfully touched Eren like how he touches him durinhmg experiment sessions with Hange making the brunette shiver.

"How'd you guys know?" Sasha askwd and the two ravenette turned to her qith their own signature expressionless look.

"Because we're Ackermans," they said in unision and the others sweatdropped as if saying, 'Of course, you are.'

"THE KID'S HERE!" Hange screamed loudly, enough for them to here. Levine and Armin stood up as Levine ran to the house first and entered, hearing cries of a baby.

His eyes turned tad bit wide as he look at the child that Hange was cleaning up. It's so small that it looks so fragile. So fragile that Levine thought that maybe if he touch it, the child will break.

"It's a boy," Hange cooed as Hazel panted heavily a small visible smile on her face. After seeing her son's cryibg abgelic face, she fainted out of fatigue. Almost 7 hours of labor and of course she is so tired right now.

"I have a son," Levi said in s tad disbelief and Levine have a similar reaction.

"I'm an uncle."
