(Lightning)

Lightning could you please give us an overview of the Chi users" My chi teacher asked, I sighed but stood up.

"As we all know we can all perform magic, shoot projectiles, walk on water, run up trees, and a whole bunch of amazing and impressive stuff. Some people are more skilled than others obviously, and other people decided not to learn or go to a school or an academy that teaches you how to use your chi like us. I am going to say ki from here on out since it rolls off my tongue better. So 70% of the world do not use Ki, they rather be civilians who can be easily killed than to get strong and protect those dear to them. 15% of the world use their ki for superhuman enhancements. That would be like the military, Police, mafias, gangs, so on. All they really do is upgrade their speed and powers, maybe some may learn how to shoot a projectile or two, some may be able to scale buildings but nothing too drastic. 14% of the world are the hardcore ki users like us in this school, those are the one that can go days without eating, do intense wars, some of us defects and become the well known villains of your average story, but Long explanation short, we are the powerful ones, our battles can range from a power ranger fight to a full blown Dragon Ball Z battle. Oh wait Lightning if you do the math you only covered 99% of ki users. Yeah you're absolutely correct it's because that 1% is saved for the cosmetic ki users, those rare once in a blue moon god tier fighters, those are the ones that can fly and do other near impossible things, as well as level cities and continents. I haven't seen continents be wiped out, but I myself have leveled cities before so I can vouch for the city destroyers. I have heard that many historical cosmetic ki users came from the Exodia clan. I covered the basic of the ki users, but I barely scratch the surface there are many sub categories, well known ones like the genetic genocide or ki looting, or the least know ones like the familiars. It gets complicated to the point where the 30% of us who do use ki can be separated into even smaller groups of 2% or even less but to avoid confusions the school separated them into three categories: Commoners, Ki Commoners, and X Fighters. Just remember, to get things right in test or quizzes you gotta write chi not ki." I sat down on my chair and relaxed as the whole class clapped

"Very good, very knowledgeable as expected from an Exodia member, my condolences to you and your family" The teacher said I nodded.

The bell rang, and I moved on to my next class.

We been learning water magic... or as my teacher likes to call it water justu, which I suck at. I specialize in Lightning magic and Fire Magic. I sigh as I open my palm and a small fire dragon materialized on my palm and starts spinning in circles until it becomes a small ring of fire. I closed my palm and it disappeared.

"Lightning we haven't learned anything about fire justu yet, and we have to perform hand signs before we use any justu in this class" My magic teacher said. I honestly thought this school copied off of Naruto, but I recently found out there are three ways to perform magic or justu or elemental techniques. You can perform the hand signs, or chant the incantation of the move or technique you wanna use, for example to use a bigger and more destructive version of my tiny fire dragon, the chant is, Fire o fire, breathe great dragon of flames, I bestow destruction upon thee. Then you you make a circle with your fingers and blow, out goes a fire dragon capable of blasting things in its path as well as setting things around it up in flames. I've seen elemental variants of this, the chants are different as well as how they are preformed. For a Lightning style it must descend from the sky, the Earth style, it comes from the ground, The Water style it comes from any present water around you, some of the more skilled users can use water based moves using the water particles in the air. Wind style is well probably the easiest magic to use since air is everywhere. Dark styles and Light style has yet to be released. There's rumor that they exist but there has not been a user in centuries. If I may guess I think dark style may use shadows and light uses the light. Of course if people wishes not to speak the incantations they may use the hand signs which doesn't take anything away in terms of power. The third way to use them is to have an affinity for them. Everyone has one main affinity and two secondary ones. My main affinity it's Lightning my secondary is fire, I have yet to find my third, since I completely suck at water magic and earth and wind aren't my strong suit, it could be because I'm doing something wrong. You can tell your affinity mostly if you can use all 5 of the elements, some people may know it without, but the easiest way to tell is if you can use all 5. And out of those 5 which ever deals the most damage is your main affinity, the second two trailing will be your secondaries. Your weakest will also be the element you are weak to, and the rest are equal in power. That is how I know, wind and earth are not secondary for me. Those with the affinity can use their elements without a chant or hand sign.

"Lightning are you ignoring me?" The teacher snaps me back into reality

"I don't believe in hand signs do your job and teach and leave me the fuck alone." I answered.

He starts using hand signs, he clapped his hand, the. Interlocks them and then... wait a second I know what he's doing, Lightning sparks around my hand but I'm too late. Water rushed from nearby cups and containers and now I am inside a cubed prison made of water. I can breathe fine but the technique makes the user think they are drowning. This magic is used for torturing and interrogating, as well as immobilizing your target, hindering their movements, and knocking their breath out. Shit is annoying trust me. In order to break out of it, you need to know how to use water style and be a stronger user than the user of the technique. I'm at a triple treat disadvantage here.

The water burst releasing me wetting the students near me and the tables. I fall to one knee trying to grab my breath. From the looks of his face, he's not the one who released me.

"What the hell how can you be better than me at water style. " the teacher said as he and the class looked shocked.

I am still trying to grab my breath. I'm not the one who surpassed you in water style. It was Keyshia.
