Mark sat in silence and stared at his computer. His whole world was crashing down around him and all he could do was watch. The people who once loved him now didn't care. They didn't miss him, some barely noticed he had gone. They had all found a new hero. Mark typed 'YouTube.com' into his web browser. His body shuck with anticipation. Mark wasn't stupid, he knew what was going to be there, but he couldn't bring himself to look. With a deep breathe he pressed enter. He heart sank as he saw what had become of his once beloved channel.
Warfstache. Warfstache had taken over. He tried to log in, but of course it didn't work. He knew it was a long shot but he had to try. Sometimes the simplest things are over looked. His curiosity got the better of him. He opened the first video, then the next and so on. He sat for hours watching them all. Wafstache had brain washed his fans. They don't recognise Mark anymore. Even if he posted something they would ignore it. They have lost faith in him. He left without saying goodbye.
How had he done this? How had he turned them against him? Mark held his head in his hands at his desk. He couldn't breathe, he started to panic. His whole life work was gone. Everything he had worked so hard for destroyed. He fought to regain control. He put his head between his knees, he couldn't stop himself from shaking, or the tears but his breathing slowly came under control. 'HOW DID YOU DO THIS? Huh? How? Please, just tell me?!' Mark screamed. He didn't know if he could hear him, but part of him didn't care. He was full of frustration and anger, he had to let it out.
Warfstache was sat behind him. He leant forward, and pursed his lips. 'I took you.' He said quietly. Mark didn't turn to face him. He couldn't look at the man who had ruined him 'I stole you. I made them hate you. I've made them hate you enough to abandon you. A mess exodus. And how? My making them believe you didn't care anymore. You can't blame them? All I had to do was tweak their reality, and poof! You were gone, their hero had abandoned them, so they needed a new one. And there I was. Their knight in a perfect suit of pin stripped armour. All I had to do was sit and smile. They lapped it up. It didn't matter what I said or did. I was their new hero. I AM their new hero, and you've been forgotten. You might as well give up now. Move back to Cincinnati. Get a job pushing buttons and reflect on the life you could have had.' Mark turned around and launched himself at him, but in a flash he was gone.
Mark was no longer scared. He was angry. He hated Warfstache. He hated what he's done. He had nowhere to release his anger except his room. Mark stands up and starts smashing anything he can get a hold of.
'You will not take this away from me!' He bellows. 'You won't destroy me. They'll remember. They'll remember that you're nothing. You're a no one. Warfstache. You will be destroyed and I will smile as I do it!'
Mark sat at his computer. An idea had sprung in his mind. He opened up something. He opened YouTube. He uploaded. A new channel. A new start. 'Markipliers heroes' An anonymous fan channel for the fandom. Praising the work they had done. Warfstache had got it wrong. They were not just people. They were a force with the power to change the world, but Warfstache had got the most important thing wrong; Mark was never their hero, they were his. And he would save him; he knew it.
