Authors notes: Sorry im posting a bit late i just had a friend over for the past 2 days so any ways lets begin.
Honestly after that everyone was surprised at Ylva's out burst, she had usually been self contained and quiet . But this was quite the opposite and to be honest most people were scared. Apart from Derki he had been expecting her to snap soon.
Soon it was time to head back to their huts. So everyone packed up and left while being slightly exhausted from their day of hunting -even though they caught nothing-.
Derki on the other hand decided to stay and talk to the instructor.
"Derki why are you not heading home with the others?" Asked/yelled the instructor in his heavy Scottish accent.
"I just wanted to ask why the sleuther just stopped?" The instructor looked at confusedly " I mean that it could have just ran away but it didn't it-it just froze" Derki had sounded quite confused him self.
"Well Derki" the instructor said slightly unsure of what to say "there are plenty of reasons for why it froze in such a manner but the most like was that your 'eye' was so profoundly disgusting that it froze at the mere sight of it."
"Uhh, yeah probably that thanks" Derki said not quite sure of what the instructor said was true.
Derki was about to walk out of the arena and back to his hut ready to tell his parents what he did today.
Then a thought passed through his mind what are they going to do to the sleuther?
He turned around to face the instructor once more and said "what's going to happen to the sleuther?" He asked calmly.
"Well it is probably going to be killed and its fur will be turn into an invisibility cloak." He said with a reassuring smile, even though Derki did not feel reassured.
"Ok" said Derki while walking out of the arena. Derki had started to feel... well, guilty.
He realised that a helpless creature was going to die. It's all my fault! It's all my fault! It's all my fault. He just kept repeating the same thought over and over again in his head.
Then he did something that he wasn't expecting himself to do.
He was running back to the arena to save the sleuther.
Derki snuck inside and tried to find to sack that held the creature captive.
He saw it. It was in a dim corner of the stadium. It would have been easy to get while not being noticed, but Derki being Derki, he got noticed. It was done by no one other than Sture. At the time Sture was standing suspiciously close to the sack.
"What are you doing her Derki the unfortunate?" Sture said "shouldn't you be doing what losers like you always do... like go knit clothes with your granny."
"Well Sture I've come back to... tell you that... your father is umm looking for you." Derki quickly lied.
"What! Why?" Sture asked
"How am I supposed to know he's your father" Derki said.
"Oh uh yah i gotta but i'm not done with you yet loser." Sture said trying to sound intimidating.
"Okay, well good luck with that" Derki said. Sture grunted and walk/stomped away.
Once Sture was completely out of sight Derki snuck over to the corner where the sack was.
He slowly bent down and gently picked it up. He quickly sneaked out again.
He ran into the woods were no one would see him. He placed the sack on the ground and slowly opened it. Just as he did this the sleuther jumped out of the sack towards the opposite direction of Derki, and bonded away into the forest.
"A thank you would have been nice you know" shouted Derki. Even though he knew that the sleuther couldn't understand him, nor hear him, nor can it even say thank you.
Derki feeling a bit salty walk way.
And thats the end \_(o-o)_/ but on Tuesday it's my bday |_[*U*]_| yay so see you later.
