Through Fire Justice Is Served

I sat at a small wooden table, resting my elbows on the table and watching the man across from me devour his second meal of the night. He stratched his beard, watching me with greedy eyes. I gulped, looking away, feigning innocence, letting a subtle blush dance across my pale cheeks. Reaching for my drink, I sipped at it tentively, trying to calm myself down. I set the cup down, and I used a pair of chopsticks to eat a small part of my meal, keeping my eyes down. I straightened my shoulders, letting parts of my hair to fall forward. I watched him out of the corner of my eye, wondering whether I should kill him by messing with his heart or wit his brain.
"So, Yuki. You said you were from the land of waves?"
"Yes sir." I answered meekly
"So what brought you all this way from your home?" he asked
"My parents died when I was younger, and my only reletives live in the area." I lied convincivly
"I'm sorry to hear about that hun, but why are you hear of all places?" he asked gruffly
"They were indebted to the inn keeper, so I work for him to help pay off the debt." I explained
"And you just happen to be off of work tonight?
"Yes." I replied politely, looking him in the eye
I watched him get a familiar look in his eyes, the kind that men get when they lust after a woman. The predactory gaze that seemed to look over every part of the conservative clothing I was in; imagining me without it. I reached my hand over the table to lightly rest my hand on top of his large hairy one, trying to keep myself from reeling back in disgust. I intetwined my fingers with him, staring him straight in the eye.
"Are you off tomorrow?" he asked, looking uncomfortable
"I have to do the afternoon shift, but I could convince one of the other girls to take over my shift." I replied, raising an eyebrow, the truth was that I would be leaving as soon as I had him taken care of. I smiled, licking my lips slowly. Usually it was harder to get the targets to lower their guard, but he was probably one of the easiest ones I've ever encountered. Well it did say on his record that he was accused of mulitple occurances of rape.
"Do you want a drink?" he asked
"I think, I'll have just one." I replied, "Thanks."
I watched him wave over one of the girls that were pouring the drinks. She walked over quickly and poured the appropriate amounts into the glasses. Taking the oppurtunity of him being distracted, I looked around the room to see the people who were gathered in the warm tavern. Watching one of the far windows, I saw the winter storm that was raging outside.
I picked up my drink, watching him down his in one gulp. Sipping it slowly, I felt the unfamiliar warmth spread through my body. I felt my mind fog up a little, and my nerves started buzzing. I let a wide smile dance across my features before looking him in the eye. It could've been my instincts, but I knew that he was ready.
"So, you asked me if I was busy tomorrow?" I asked
"Yes, and I was wondering..."
"What? You know I won't laugh at you."
"I was wondering if you wouldn't mind keeping me company later tonight, after you're off your shift."
"I would love that, I'll come to your room when I'm done, okay?" I said lowly, standing up and leaving the table. Walking quickly to the kitchen, I put an apron on hasitly, tying it loosely in the back. I grabbed a pitcher and walked out of the kitchen confidently, doing quite a bang up job pretending to be a waitress.

My hand hovered over the doorknob, my eyes darting around nervously. I took a deep breath and put my hand on the doorknob, turining it slightly, it opened easily. Taking a tentitive step inside, I looked at the room that somehow became a mess in the few days he lived here. I saw him standing in front of a window, staring into the farmer's fields. Clearing my throat delicately, I closed the door behind me.
"H-hello?" I said
"Yuki? Is that you?" he asked
"Yes, it's Yuki."
He turned around to face me then he started walking towards me, the predectory gaze sweeping over every inch of my body. "I didn't think you would come." he said
"I just got caught up" I answered, smiling
He grabbed my elbow roughly, leaning into me, pushing me up againest the door. I felt the rough wood that was behind me. He was getting dangerously close, his stench almost overtaking my gag reflex. I let my eyes close heavly, titling my face upwards to meet his. Reaching into the store of energy, I created a blood clot in his brain using the memories of an atomnomy exhibit to guide me, and with a final push I made the clot burst; killing him. I opened my eyes to see his body crumpled on the floor.
I rubbed my eyes, and quickly left the room, closing the door behind me. Running my hand through my hair nervously, I found the my room and entered it, closing the door behind me softly. Sitting down on the bed that was a part of the room, I looked around the dark room, partially illuminated by the full moon that shone outside with a chaste glow. Putting my head in my hands, I sighed deepy, rubbing my temples roughly before laying down on my side, with my back facing the window. I felt my knees curl up to my chest loosely. Closely my eyes heavely, I realized that tonight would be one of the only chances I would get in a while to get a 'full night's sleep'.
And I took the oppurtunity happily, but my dreams were laced with the faces of all my victims. But I knew that was a small price to pay for a life, a little bit of my happiness for a life and some money to live and save for. I let myself slip into unconsciousness, where my victims' faces weren't able to follow me into.
