JOHN

I walk the rest of the way home on my own. My mom was outside and sees me, rushing towards me as she calls for my dad.

My father comes running out along with my sister. I fall in his arms and he carries me inside. in My mother and sister try asking me what happened but I can't hear them. My dad lays me on my bed, everyone still asking questions and freaking out. Then I pass out.

I wake up to my sister treats my bruises not talking at all. It was quiet. She notices me waking up.

"What's going on?" She asks as she puts a bandage around my arm. It had a huge cut even though I don't remember how it happened.

"Nothing." I answer and look away.

She shakes her head along with her dark short hair that reached her shoulders and closing her light brown eyes.

When she's done she leaves and my dad walks in. Great. I look away as he enters and sits on the bed by my feet.

"John." Worry showing in his voice. "Jonathon." He says my full name with a serious voice this time.

I turn to him and he seems a bit angry. "What?"

"What happened? This is the second time this has happened. What going on?" I look away and he sighs.

"Is someone bullying you?" I shake my head. "Then?"

I don't answer nor meet his eyes. I'm sorry dad I can't say anything.

He sighs and walks out the room closing the door behind him. I hear him talking to my mother and saying that it's possibly bullying. She responds that they will have a talk with the school. No!

I open my door and my parents turn to me. Worry on their faces.

"Don't talk to the school. You can't. " I whisper looking at them with pleading eyes. "Please."

My mother walks towards me. "Honey, what's wrong?"

"If you care don't ask. I promise you it's not bullying. I just made a few enemies." I say straight in her eyes.

"You can't be getting into fights. We got called saying that you weren't in school for two days. I lied saying that you were sick. Where do you go?"

"I hanged out with some friends. I'm sorry I won't do it again. But I promise this doesn't have anything to do with school."

They look at each other for a second then turn back to me.

"Ok." My mother's voice calmed down a little. "Don't skip school and if this keeps going on we are going to talk with the school." I nod and she nods back and walks away my father following behind her.

I walk back inside my room. How can I do this without getting caught? I shut my eyes and clutchy fists. I'll have to figure something out. Damn it.

ALEX

I get home and find everything dark. I rush into my room and lock the door. Lights off mean bad news. My parents could get into horrible fights, they could get drunk, have someone else.

I sigh and sit on my and treat my wounds letting them relax as I lay in bed. I hear a knock on my door and hear my mom's voice.

"Alex. I heard that you aren't going to school." She pounds on the door. "Let me in." She drunk.

I open the door and my mom walks in. She grabs my arm and leans forward, she looks down as if trying to breath.

Coughing she says, "What's going on Alex- I- didn't raise you like this."

She laughs and drops her cup on the floor, glass shattering in pieces and flying off. One was able to cut my ankle. I grit my teeth in pain.

"Don't embarrass me Alex," She pushes me on my bed. "It's not good for you."

She woddles out of the room and down the hall. I close my door and check my ankle. It was bleeding starting to bleed. I take the glass out and wrap a bandage around my angle.

Yup lights out are always a bad thing.

----

The next day I walk down the halls, a book in my hands covering my face. As I walk I hear comments and murmuring.

"I heard he got John in it."

"He skipped school twice."

"I wouldn't be able to hold the pain."

"Why not just die?"

"All good for nothing."

I run trying to ignore them, ignore them all. Die? Why? I was right. No one cares. I sniff and run down an empty hall.

Why is it hard to live a life? I walk quietly until I reach my classroom. The bell rings just as I open the door.

My teacher, Mr.Bober, looks up and sees me.

"Mr.Clarr, you've missed two days of school." He says sharply glaring as I make my way to my desk.

"Yes. I'm sorry Sir." I sit down and hide my face behind the book as the students walk in.

Why can't I be invisible?

JOHN

I didn't find Alex today and I'm kind of worried. I walk into my classroom and meet my teacher, Mrs. Pink, by the door. Yes her last name is pink.

"Mr. Shay you missed two days of school. Here's your work" She hands me some papers. "This is the only time I will do this."

I nod and walk to my seat. After class the same girl who told me about Cross Gang walks up towards me.

She was wearing a black plain shirt and a black puffy skirt with long dark socks reaching a bit above her knees and black boots. She was also wearing short finger, long sleeve, red and black gloves that reach pass her elbows. I heard her name was Lace Shern.

She walks to me desk and crosses her arms and leans on one foot.

"I heard you're getting bullied." She says glaring

"Who said that?" I glare back at her. What's her problem?

"Doesn't matter. I told you to stay away from that kid."

"Why do you care?" I ask sharply.
She glares before walking away.

"What's her problem? "

"Didn't you know?" I hear a sweet voice say behind me.

I turn and find Flora, a short kind girl with short blond hair and light blue eyes.

"I didn't say this but...that girl is the sister of the Cross Gang leader. Apparently she doesn't like her brother to bully but doesn't do anything about it." She whispers. "She afraid of her own brother. You didn't hear it from me."

She pull the book on her task and covers her face. Her brother, his sister. I never imagined that.
