I walked into school after arguing with my annoying brother, sometimes, Benedict was a monkey. Very stressful. I walked to Lance like it was a programmed motion and he hugged me. That was unusual. I mean, we've hugged before but not like that. He hugged me in a sensual way. I looked up to him cause he was kinda tall. Not that it was bad. Oh, I'll shut up now. I tucked my hair behind my ear and looked up at him. He grinned at me. No doubt, I was confused. I looked down at my shoes and grabbed his hand and walked away from there pulling him with me. I was feeling overwhelmed by the crowd that formed around us. I was never one for an audience.
I could hear him chuckle behind me. I looked back and glared at him. "What was that all about? You know I don't really like crowds." I spat at him. Not literally though. My phone buzzed in my pocket and I brought it out. It was a notification from my reminders. I was late to my music practice, yes, I play the cello. Sigh. I rubbed my hand against my face and told him.
"Lance, I'll talk to you later. I'm late!" He smiled at me and held my hand. "I'll walk you." I couldn't help but smile. I felt the familiar butterflies I usually feel when I was around him. The walk to the music room was short and when we got to the door, I could hear music being played. I was really late. He held me back and kissed my forehead. "I'll be at your locker." And he left,
I stood outside the classroom, not only recovering from his tender kiss on my forehead but I dreaded what my music teacher, Mr. Wells would say. After a few seconds passed, I finally gathered the courage to walk in. After zoning out his rants on how late I was and how the music felt so discordant, I walked to my seat and took up my cello, and joined in the usual song we played every day.
As expected, Lance was waiting patiently at my locker. He was on his phone and I decided to ignore him. As I turned on my heel, I felt his eyes on me and I let out a chuckle as I dashed away from him. I was free second period. So was he. I could hear his feet thumping after me. I decided to make a run for the girl's toilet. Yes, I would hide out there until the period passed. I chose the last stall and sat on the closed toilet. After a minute, the bathroom door opened and I could hear the person breathing. I held my breath as I heard the person walk closer to my stall. Then, there was silence. I could hear the door open and close again. I let out a long-needed breath and sighed. Then out of nowhere, Lance stepped into my stall.
"What the actual fuck?" I exclaimed as I was frightened. I punched his arm as I laughed. "You caught me." He smiled at me. " Yes, I did." His hair was sprawled all over his forehead and then I looked into his eyes. I could feel his hot breath on my face. All of a sudden, I felt hot and bothered. I could feel myself taking deep and heavy breaths. I looked down at my shoes and I felt his hand on my chin. He pulled my chin up and stared down into my eyes. I could feel my lips part as he leaned down.
Sooner than I could imagine, his lips were pressed against mine.
