Two ~

Jungkook woke up on cold rock. He winced after trying to move his tail. He couldn't remember much from last night. All he could think of was his sadness and a creature he thought was beautiful.

Jungkook lifted his head to see his tail, it was wrapped in kelp. The kelp didn't help much though, blood was starting to seep through. Jungkook knew his tail had been like this for awhile, just because the kelp was soaked with dark blood. Blood that wasn't fresh.

Jungkook's face scrunched up with pain as he set his head back down. His eyes started to well with tears. He was going to die slowly and painfully. He couldn't move his upper-body either, his wrists where wrapped with kelp that was coming from under the water next to him.

Had he been caught by a crazy mermaid after all? He had heard stories about killers who took other mermaids out of pure spite. Who kept their victims to die a slow and torturous death.

He started to feel more uncomfterable as time went on. All he could do was cry and stare at the caves ceiling. The cave got colder and colder, his body losing the heat it needed. All he could think about was his family and how heart broken they already must be. He was going to disappoint Jin, he couldn't come for the routinely dinner. He couldn't tell his stories he got from the humans. Jungkook thought of himself as a horrible brother, he couldn't save himself. He couldn't protect his brothers from their feelings anymore. He didnt want to lose them. Jungkook didn't want them to lose him.

Right when Jungkook was about to sob, he heard the water next to him move abruptly. He couldn't look over, he was too afraid. He just whimpered in fear that he was soon going to die.

A head popped up next to Jungkook, a mop of silver hair and bright blue eyes. Jungkook shut his eyes, his nose scrunching. The creature moved closer to Jungkook. His long blue tail swiftly moving through the shallow water.

Then, the creature, with his long nails, dragged his fingers across Jungkook's face. Was the creature trying to... comfort him? Jungkook flinched and tried moving away, of course he couldn't but he could only try. The creature moved his hand away at Jungkook's reflex. The creature had a worried look on his face.

"This will only hurt a bit, it will hurt more if you struggle." A raspy voice erupted from the creature. It was full of worry and a bit of comfort. It didn't work for Jungkook though. He then felt a sharp pain on his tail. His head shock back and he yelped from the pain. His back arched and his wrists tried to escape from the restraints.

The kelp was being removed from his tail. Being replaced with more kelp, kelp that would help his suffering a bit. The creature knew how to take care of someone who was in this much pain from their tail. The creature had to take care of them selves of course.

Even so, Jungkook thought the monster was cutting through his tail.

"Shhhh its okay." The comforting voice encouraged Jungkook to calm down. It helped a bit this time. When the creature was done, he swam back over to Jungkook's face.

"Are you alright love?" The creature talked a bit weird in Jungkook's opinion. But he knew he had no right to say anything. Jungkook gently nodded his head, his eyes still screwed shut. He was afraid, more than he had ever been in his life.

"Please open your eyes for me? I wont hurt you" Jungkook really couldn't trust that statement after this but he did as was told. He opened his eyes to be met with worried ones. The creature looked down at Jungkook. Now he remembered who that beautiful creature was.

"Im sorry for not asking your permission before I removed the kelp, please forgive me." Thats why it hurt so much. Jungkook still didn't get it, hadn't this monster done this to his tail? And now he was asking for his forgiveness? How could he forgive him?

Jungkook just looked at the ceiling. It only brought him sadness.

"Take me home." Jungkook demanded. The creature widened his eyes.

"I ca-"

"And why cant you!" Jungkook yelled. He didn't like being here and he didn't like this person.

"Your tail needs to rest above water, you cant put stress on it just yet. Let yourself calm down." The person said.

"Thats stupid, can I at-least not be held down? Its freezing!" Jungkook demanded even if he didn't have a right to talk down to this person.

"Could I trust you not to jump into the water?"

"Yes now let me go!" The kelp let go at his words, he tried sitting up but his arms gave up. They where cramped and he didn't have any strength to life his body weight.

"Let me help you, love. Can I touch you?" Jungkook nodded. He was then being pushed up by cold hands. He flinched but didn't move away.

After he was resting on a pillow against the wall. He had asked for a cover or something and the person went as told. The person lifted themselves out of the water and sat down on the ledge, part of his tail still in the water. He grabbed a blanket on the other side of the cave and threw it over Jungkook.

Jungkook noticed that this mermaid? Had kelp wrapped around him, like a lot of kelp. He wondered if it was a fashion choice or not.

"Anything else love?"

"What are you?" The mermaid laughed at that and went to sit next to Jungkook, not touching Jungkook at all. Jungkook was great full for how nice this mermaid was being. He could be a lot worse.

"Im a mix between Dryad and Mermaid. My name is Min Yoongi and I live here. I've lived for 60 years now, but to you I am in my mid twenties." Yoongi explained more than Jungkook asked for.

"May I know more about you? We will be here for a long time." Jungkook was hesitant but Yoongi seemed trust worthy enough.

"My names Jeon Jungkook and I'm a mermaid. Im 19." Jungkook said with a soft voice, looking down at his tail wrapped in a kelp. His tail was numbing from the kelp, he didn't know kelp could do that.

"Aren't Dryad's tree things? Why are you underwater then?" Jungkook asked, he hoped he wasn't prying.

"As I said I'm a mermaid. There is a type of tree underwater but not anywhere close to here. So, I was attached to kelp by my mother. My parents are up there with the rest of your species, while I stay down here. Im alone." Yoongi was talking freely about himself and Jungkook wondered why. He had learned about Dryads in the library and they mostly are shy and keep to themselves. I guess thats why he is alone.

"You should rest. I'll be back, what do you eat?" Yoongi asked as he went back into the water.

"Oh, uhmm, I normally eat plants and stuff. I guess you could say I'm a vegetarian.." Jungkook laughed a bit but Yoongi raised his eyebrow.

"Whats a 'vegetarian'?" Jungkook realized that was a word humans used and not any species underwater.

"It means that you only eat plants, sorry, humans use that word a lot." Jungkook explained and Yoongi nodded.

"I'll be back love, get some rest now." Yoongi said then went back down into the water. Jungkook laid down and started to nod off thinking about his family. Wondering if he will be alive to see them again.
