My teacher is my lover

Part 4

Monday morning approached and I was so nervous to see Garret, we spent the entire weekend together and yet I was still nervous to drive to school and see him. My mom was finally home and we had to be a bit more careful. 

I walked to the kitchen to see Garrett and my mother talking

"Well it was nice to meet you, I have to get to school to teach your daughter and many other people." Garrett said walking out the door

"Um, what was that? How long has he been here? How do you know him? 

"He brought these cookies over for us because he said he was new to town for a month now. New to me, I just got home last night; so very new. He's cute, too bad he's your teacher."

"What is that supposed to mean?"

"Well if he wasn't your teacher, I would totally be for you guys being together, but the teacher part is what stops me. You could get expelled and he will lose his job. Do you know him outside of school?"

"Well, I saw him when he first moved in and I showed him around the town. Nothing else happened if that is what you think.." I said looking down, I suck at lying, I am so used to telling the truth and my mom knows me like the back of her hand, especially when I'm lying.

"Atlantis Rose River, you guys didn't have sex did you?" she said about to laugh

"You think that's funny?"

"I think it's funny that you thought you could get away with that. I saw the way he looked at you when leaving the house, he looked at you how your father used to look at me. I can see that he likes you."

"I like him mom, I really like him, and he likes me. I wanted to tell you, don't get me wrong, but I didn't want you to say I couldn't date him because it took me a month or longer to even tell myself I wanted him or if I didn't want him."

"Atlantis, I don't care what you do. I'm not even here most of the time, just please, don't get caught. That's the last thing and I will kill him and you if you get expelled." My mom said kissing my head

"Invite him over to dinner, I'm cooking. Get to school, you don't want to be late."

I left my driveway and started thinking about what my mom said. She accepts us, I would have thought she was the last person other than the principal and Megan to accept us. I love that so much, maybe she will like him as much as I do. He's a really great guy, but I wonder how he is going to react to her knowing about us.

I walked into the school and immeditally to my side was Liz asking me how my weekend was and about Garrett and I. 

"It was good, we decided that we will try and see how it goes. In other news, my mom is home and she knows."

"She knows about you two?" while stopping in front of me with her mouth wide open. I shook my head and kept walking

"How did she find out?"

"She know me all to well. She just knew by the way he looked at me when he left my house this morning"

"HE WAS AT YOUR HOUSE?" Liz screamed

"Keep your voice down" as I looked around and saw people staring at us, especially Megan. I don't know what I did to that girl to make her hate me so much

I walked into 4th hour and Garrett was in the classroom for some reason

"Hello class, I'm Mr. Riley as you may all know me, Mr. Walter had to leave for this hour, just asked me to sub since this is my free period. He didn't set anything out for you guys so just read sleep, do whatever you do." He said winking while looking at me. I have no idea how I'm going to tell him that my mother knows about us and how she invited him over for dinner tonight.
