We finally arrive at the police station. Detective Brown tells us to wait in the car while he talks to the police chief. I don't know what to expect though...if a team of trained officers can't break a code from an ongoing case of 4 years, what qualifies us to do any better? Maybe they gave up, and don't even have the note.

"Hey sis, can we go to the beach tomorrow? I feel like there's gonna be some killer sets." Cy says.

"Maybe. It would be nice to take a break from all the research..." I reply. "Look! Here comes the detective, with the note in his hand."

"Alright guys, so I talked to the police chief, and he gave me this note. I already looked at it, and it looks extremely complicated. It'll probably take me a month or so to decipher this." said Detective Brown.

"Yikes. I don't really have a month. I graduate in 2 months, and I need my senior project to be done within 6 weeks. Can we look at it?" I respond.

"Sure, but don't be discouraged if you don't understand it." replies Detective Brown.

He hands me the note. Cy and Tia gather around me. On the note is a jumble of characters that don't look like any language. Puzzled, we stare at it for a good minute before Tia gasps.

"Did you figure it out?" I ask.

"It's modified Greek." Tia mutters.

"What do you mean "Modified Greek?" asks the Detective.

"Well look at the characters. Can't you see the Greek alphabet hidden in it?" Tia asks.

"No." replies Detective Brown, confused.

"Yeah." Cy and I say in unison.

"Thank you so much for your help Detective, we'll call you if we need anymore help." I say as I shake Detective Brown's hand.

He looks so baffled and embarrassed. We hop back into his car, and he drops us off at home.

"I'm sorry I couldn't be of much assistance. Are you sure you don't want me to stay?"

"We're very sure, thank you for everything though!" I say.

"Tia you're a genius!" says Cy. "Maybe I should've taken Greek instead of Hawaiian...Oh well, let's crack this code!"

"I don't know, Hawaiian seems pretty useful considering we live in Hawaii. Can one of you grab my Greek dictionary please?"

Cy leaves to grab the dictionary. He comes back, and we sit down, anxious to decipher the note.

"Alpha, Theta, Epsilon, Nu, Alpha...Pi, Omikron, Sigma, Eta, Iota, Delta, Omikron, Nu..." Tia mutters. "The first line says 'Athena, Poseidon, and Hestia.'"

"I-it's probably just a coincidence. Keep reading please." I say in shock.

After some time, Tia finally finished translating the whole note. She reads it aloud.

"'I am Hermes, the messenger god. I am with your parents. The major gods of Olympus are in trouble, and we need the help of our children. Each god and goddess had an offspring, respectively, who have inherited our powers. We call them 'The Pure.' But you can't do this on your own. You must find the rest of The Pure, and work together to save your parents from the wrath of Eros and Psyche. Start tomorrow by going to Makapu'u beach, and find sun and moon. Please hurry, the fate of the world is in your hands.'"

"Do you even think this is real?" Cy says. "Does it make sense that our parents are Greek gods, and we need to help save them? Even if this is real, how are we supposed to save the world, let alone them?"

"Not sure. It might explain our abandonment though, but it's unlikely. If we did have 'powers' we'd probably discover them by now. Maybe we should just go to the beach tomorrow anyways." Tia suggested.

"Definitely. Makapu'u always has killer sets." Cy replied.

"We're supposed to look for the sun and the moon or something? Does that mean we have to be at the beach the entire day?" I asked.

"No, it doesn't say look for THE sun and THE moon. It says look for sun and moon. That implies something else, maybe people. If we're thinking Greek, that would mean Apollo and Artemis, twins gods of the sun and the moon." Tia said.

"That honestly makes a lot of sense." I reply. "But Apollo and Artemis are major gods, so they are probably in trouble too. Maybe that means look for their offspring...does anyone know any twins that are associated with the sun and the moon maybe?"

Cy gasps. "I do."
