A/N-Some things that happen in here don't actually happen. I warned you.

I won, he thought, I finally won.

Mard Geer laughed. Ah, the joy of winning after such a difficult battle! He can definitely feel it in his veins.

"Well, at least they won't be bothering me anymore." He paced, bored. "Too bad too. That Anei chick was really hot as well."

He stared into the fog and noticed a shape. Is that a human, he thought questionally.

Suddenly the dust cleared, revealing everyone still intact. Sting and Rouge were passed out on the floor, while Natsu was still awake. Gray was in his demon form, but they were surprised, as did Mard Geer.

"That should've knocked you out!" Mard Geer exclaimed. Natsu and Gray nodded wordlessly. How did they survive?

The reason was in front of them. The girl was crystallized in patches, the crystals resembling snowflakes when they first fall and before they get trampled by some careless human walking on the snow. Her eyes were purple, the color of all demons' eyes, but that wasn't the only thing. She was too pale to be still living, yet she was.

That girl was me.

"I used it all," I muttered, bewildered at my accomplishment, "I did it, I somehow did." I smiled at nothing in particular. "I saved my friends and did something courageous."

"Y/N!" the boys cried, but I slowly fell down. "I did it, finally. The ultimate transformation. The one I wanted to do all my life."

"Yuki, meaning snow," I muttered, my face hitting the gravel, "future."

"Time." I landed, my state neither awake nor asleep. I was floating in time.

After struggling with memories and headaches, I finally healed. I was content.

"Y/N," Gray said, running over to hold me, "are you okay?"

I made no answer, as I can't. I simply shook my head, smiled, and fell limp in his hands.

Gray seemed to be frozen in shock. He thought I was just the sweet, innocent girl he found on the streets, not some devil-like princess. Mard Geer shook off the surprise.

"So," he said, "the demon's finally dead. How pathetic. I thought she was something special, but she wasn't."

"Y/N's not a demon!" Natsu yelled, "Gray, let's fight him!"

He didn't move though, even after the two started fighting. Gray just stared at my limp form, unable to comprehend. anything.

She replaced me, he thought, I was going to take her place instead. She saved my life and Natsu's as well. She saved us.

"Gray!" Natsu yelled, "Now!"

I can do this, he thought.

I can defeat Mard Geer.

He shot Mard Geer in the sky as he was grabbing Natsu's head. "Ice Devil Zero Destruction Bow!" he yelled, shooting an arrow towards Mard Geer. It hit him, causing him to scream. He then fell to the ground, dead.

How could I die to these worthless scum, was his last, dying thought.

Natsu fell down, but he was only bruised. "Ugh, that was one, difficult fight, a'int it Gray?" He picked up the book of E.N.D. "Guess I can return this now to Igneel."

"Ugh, what happened?" I asked. I finally regained my senses, but I've seen the whole battle in my lifeless eyes. I looked down, and my body was back to my original form (not the demon form).

"Y/N!" Natsu yelled. He gave me a hug, squeezing me in the ribs. "Ack, a bit too tight Natsu!" He let me go. "Sorry!"

"It's alright," I panted. I brushed off the dust on my hair. Then I noticed Gray.

He gave us a small smile when we looked at him. "We did great guys, but now we have to figure out who E.N.D is and how to defeat him. Starting with his book."

"Sorry, but I've promised to return this book to Igneel," Natsu said, "we can't destroy it yet!"

"But we have to," Gray insisted, "that book contains the demon Y/N will be forced to marry!"

"And you're jealous she'll fall for him and not you?" Natsu shot back.

Gray glowered at him but tried to hide the beginnings of a blush. I realized he didn't want me to marry E.N.D because he'll be left behind and that he was jealous.

I tried not to blush as well, but I could tell the fight is turning out to be bad. "Guys!" I snapped, "we need to focus on finding the others, and defeating the other problems right now! We don't have time to obsess with E.N.D and who I am going to marry."

Natsu looked ashamed. "You're right," he said sheepishly, "this fighting is childish. We'll settle on whether we destroy the book or not afterward." Gray nodded along, but he looked curious when he caught my blush. I looked away, hoping to hide it.

"Anyways, I think we have to worry about something else," Natsu said, "the Face issue."

"What Face?" I asked.

The boys filled me in on the stone faces that can remove any traces of magic there is in Earthland that was possibly being activated at this very moment. I listened, the situation getting worse and worse.

"Well, we have no time to lose then," I said, linking arms with both boys, "let's go!"

As we walked off in search of the source of trouble, I snuck a glance at both boys. Gray looked serious and threatening, while Natsu was a bit more cheerful. I tried not to stare at him.

Little did Natsu know that he was E.N.D, the man I was supposed to marry.
