Unquenchable

"I'm glad their gone. You're brothers are so creepy." Said Chen to Xiumin.

"How do you feel, Mae?" Asked Xiumin.

The three, plus Baekhyun, were sitting at the dining table. Mae seemed to be in a bit of a trance.
"Hungry..." She whispered.
Baekhyun brought over a blood pack but after taking one sip, she pushed it away.
"I don't want that." The sound of her chair scooting away filled the dead silent room. She stood up and went to the bathroom upstairs, locking herself in as the door shut. Mae ran the coldest setting and sat in the shower letting the water drench her hair.

What's wrong with me? The human blood....it's not like it was before.

A high pitched sound entered her ears and she clenched her fists together as she covered her ears. Suddenly a pair of hands brought her back to reality as they draped a towel around her body.
"Come on." Said Chanyeol as he helped her stand up.

The two were in Chanyeols room alone as she dried her hair, clothed in some of his clothes.

"I'm surprised it wasn't Xiumin trying to find out what's wrong." She said.
"Yeah all the others left to go speak to his old clan, something about joining the two. But I figured maybe you might need someone else to talk to?" Chanyeol laid on his bed and turned on the TV.

"Thanks. It's hard to talk to Xiumin like this sometimes. I hate when he worried about me." Said Mae.
"I know. He just loves you." Replied Chanyeol with a big smile.

As he smiled, the veins in his neck were accentuated. She turned around quickly. It was that feeling again. She could feel the hunger tearing holes in her stomach.

"What's been going on, Mae? You seem weird." Remarked Chanyeol with a curious tone. She almost didn't want to reply. She was so thirsty and it scared her even more knowing what she was craving.

Her body needed it more than it needed water.

"Mae?" He asked again.

Stop!

"I'm so thirsty, Chanyeol..." Her body began controling it's self and her world was in chaos.

"Mae...what's going on?" He started to stutter as if he were a bit afraid but she was already on top of him.
"Damn Mae....your Xiumin's....not mine...." Chanyeol said as he tried his best to keep his hands off her. Her eyes turned a dark red and she gripped onto his neck gently.

A small burst of almost dark light came from her two hand and looked as though it courses through his neck into the rest of his body. Suddenly Chanyeol fell asleep, just like that.

Did I just put him to sleep?

Her jaw bit into his neck deeply and she felt satisfaction. As her worst expectation became a reality her mind drifted. She no longer craved just any blood, she craved vampire blood. This was complete taboo and the whole clan was about to find out but that didn't stop her body.

Stop it Mae! This is beyond all levels of wrong!

"Mae...."
She woke up in bed next to Xiumin. He was holding a cold compress on her forehead. Suddenly Mae shot up and looked around.
"Where's Chanyeol?! Is he okay?!" She yelled.
"He's fine. Why didn't you talk to me about this when it first happened?" Asked Xiumin as he pushed her back down to rest.
"I didn't want you to worry." She sighed.
"Well you failed on that. I'm more worried than ever after I found Chanyeol bleeding out and you unconscious on his bed." Xiumin almost yelled at that point.
"What's wrong with me? Why am I craving vampire blood?" She asked.
"I don't know...." He replied.

Later that night Xiumin was up in the office doing some research in old journals of his father's when Baekhyun came into the room.
"You're up late..." Baekhyun said as he sat down next to Xiumin.
"I'm looking for anything about Mae's condition." Said Xiumin as he pushed up his reading glasses. He stretched widely and sighed.
"Well here lemme give you a piece of information that could help your search."

Xiumin looked to Baekhyun with tired eyes. Baekhyun continued.

"As I cleaned up Chanyeols wound I found not two, but four punctures."

Xiumins heart dropped.

"There's only one thing that could mean, Xiumin. Mae was a pure blooded vampire once before."
