Just friends?

Call or not call, that is the question

At night, Kara was at home staring down her cellphone when she heard the knock on the door.

"Come in" she shouted from the couch.

"What is the emergency." Alex asked entering the room.

"I can't decide if I call Barry or not." Kara said from the couch.

"That was the big emergency?" Alex asked and Kara nodded.

"Okay, we're gonna have to especify real emergency in text from fake ones." Alex said clearly angry.

"Hey, it's a real doubt." Kara pouted

"No, it is not, you clearly like him so call him, ask him out or whatever." Alex said.

"I do not like Barry, I mean, I like him, but not that way, just as friend." Kara said.

"Yeah, right." Alex responded ironically.

"I do not." Kara stated.

"So call him, just as friend, there is no problem in that, if you don't want anything more, that is nothing to worry about." Alex said.

Kara frowned for a moment and said
"Yeah, you probably right."

A moment pass and Alex looked and Kara and said "So you are gonna do it or not."

"You mean right now?" Kara asked

"Of course." Alex answered.

Kara took out her phone and dialed Barry's number.

"Hello?" A woman voice was heard in the other line. Kara froze for moment, maybe that is his girlfriend, she thought. "Helloo?"

"Um, hi, this is Kara Danvers, this is Barry Allen cellphone?" She asked

"Oh, yes, you must be the girl from another earth that Barry won't shut up about it." She said and Kara blushed, so Barry Allen talked abou her um. "I am Iris by the way, I am gonna pass to Barry."

"Hello." She heard his beautifull voice. Wait, beautifull?

"Hey, Barry, it's Kara. Kara Danvers." She said.

"Oh, hey Kara Kara Danvers." He joked and she giggled like a teenager, gaining some looks from Alex.

"Just want to confirm if this was the right number, and give you mine, so, there you go buddy." Kara face-slaped herself after saying that.

"Oookaaay. Anything else that you wanna talk about?" Barry asked.

"Nope, nothing in mind." She said.
"Okay, bye Barry."

"Kara wait." Barry said and Kara responded "Yes?"

"Are you free tomorrow morning?" He asked.

Kara hold her breath and nodded.

"Kara, hellooo?" Barry asked again.

"Yes, sorry, yes I am free tomorrow morning, why?" Kara asked.

"Oh, I want to see if you wanna come to Central City e see star labs, you know, I already know your base and your friends, so it's only fair if I show you where my team operates." He told her.

"Yes." Kara blurted out almost immediately.

"Wow, okay cool, do you want bring someone else? I can go to national to help you?" He said.

"Oh, maybe I will bring Winn and/or Alex, but I think I can handle." She said.

"Okay, cool, cool, cool. So I see you tomorrow.". Barry said.

"Bye Barry." Kara said.

"Bye Kara." Barry said and them both hung up the phone.

She put her cellphone down and Alex give her a look and stand up and walked to the door.

"Just like him as friend my ass." She said in her way out.
