"Um, Addison. Why are you here?" Meredith asks as she stands in front of Addison Montgomery.
"I was more or so expecting a welcoming like "Hey Addison, come on in", but that works too," Addison says laughing.
"Well, uh, come in." Meredith gestures for her to come into her house. Addison smiles and comes into the house that is all to familiar.
"I'm leaving," Addison tells Meredith softly as she shuts the door.
"What?" Meredith asks, her hand resting on the door knob. Her face in shock.
"I'm going to Florida. I thought about going to L.A.. Then back to New York. And I knew that if I wanted a change I needed something knew. So I'm going to Florida," Addison explains. Meredith stands there, mouth agape, eyes focused on Addison.
"Oh. Well, um, thank you for telling me. I guess," Meredith replies, slow. Addison steps closer, her hand finding Meredith's.
"I'm leaving, Meredith," Addison repeats her own words. Her breath gets shaky as she continues. "I need things to change. I don't want everything to change. But I just... Need a change."
Meredith steps closer and lets her arms wrap around Addison's neck. Addison's arms wrap around Meredith's waist. Both of their heads buried in each others necks.
"I am so sorry, Meredith," Addison whispers in her hair.
Meredith pulls back and rests her hands on Addison's shoulders. "Don't be sorry." Meredith gives Addison a weak smile. "I know you; you need this. You deserve it," Meredith tells Addison.
Addison wipes away her own tears before wiping away Meredith's. Addison looks into Meredith's deep green eyes before pulling her into another hug. This one lasts longer. This is the final goodbye.
Addison steps back and slowly walks out of Meredith's house.
Addison walks out of the house, into the taxi that has been waiting for her. She gets in the taxi and looks out the window, looks at Meredith's house one more time.
Addison thinks to herself how much pain she has been in in this past year. In the beginning of May she signed the divorce papers for Derek. That caused her more pain than she expected. She was ready for the divorce, but soon realizing that her 11 year marriage was going down the drain caused more pin than she expected. Then in late May her and Meredith got into a very heated argument that led to making out.
And now Addison finally get's to escape it all. Except some things she doesn't want to escape. Or some people.

The taxi pulls into the airport. She gets out of the car and gets her suitcase from the trunk.
As she walks through the big airport, through security, and is now sitting in an uncomfortable seat waiting for her plain to bored, her eyes fixate on the huge sign that says "Goodbye Seattle".
That's all it takes for her to hear her name being called from a familiar voice. Addison stands up and turns around. She sees Meredith Grey standing there, still in her pajamas. Meredith quickly jogs up to her and grabs her hand. Addison shakes her head in disbelief as people start staring.
"I realize that you want change. That you want to leave. But you can't leave.
"For the past 6 months all we have been doing is sleeping with each other. That's what we tell each other anyways. But I know that it isn't just sex. On- call rooms and supply closets. It was what I was craving. Sex. But I soon realized it wasn't just sex that I was craving; it was you that I was craving. The way you would smile after you had an amazing surgery, or the way your hair was tied back in a pony after we had just got done making love. And that's what I'm calling it, because it wasn't just sex.
"So Addison, please don't leave, not if it means I don't get to come with you," Meredith tells her. By the time Meredith finishes talking, everyone is staring; giving them glares, or smiling because of the clear love in front of them.
"Please don't leave, because I love you, Addison," Meredith tells Addison softly. Meredith's hand travels up Addison's left side, gliding up to her cheek. Addison leans in and softly presses her lips to Meredith's. Several Wolfe whistles are heard, while some people huff in disgust.
Meredith slowly backs out of the kiss, a smile plastered on her face.
"Will you move to Florida with me?" Addison asks softly. Her face changes into a smile as Meredith nods. Their faces are both plastered in a smile as Meredith wraps her arms around Addison's neck, and yet again kisses her.
