Chapter Eleven: She'll be just fine

Dillion
I sat in the waiting room with Abbie's head on my lap.

"Hey sweetie,"mom said coming back with two cups of coffee.

"Thanks mom,"I smiled.

"She'll be just fine,"mom assured.

"Will she?"I asked.

"I bet she will,"mom whispered.

I pulled Abbie's hair behind her ear and she smiled.

"You better keep her,"mom said.

"Yeah,"I chuckle.

Mom sets her coffee on the table and then walks over to the beds which they left us.

"Good night,"I whispered.

"Good night sweets,"she yawns.

I look at all the guys.

Daniel, asleep on a bed, David, asleep on the floor,Gabe, asleep in the chair, Will, asleep on a bed with June right beside him, James, asleep on the bench, curled in to a ball. Even though he might like Abbie, he's still my best friend.

"Dilly,"May whispered from her spot in the windowsill.

"Yes?"I ask.

"I can't sleep,"she yawns.

"Come here,"I say waving my hand.

She rolls down and wraps the blanket around her and squeezes her toy elephant.

I adjust Abbie's head and place a pillow down so May could lay on my lap.

"Is Auggie going to die?"she asked.

"Well May, I can't answer that,I answered my eyes getting watery.

She had one or two tears fall down her cheeks before she whined,"I don't want her to die!I won't ever grab the black thing she ties on her chest and put butter in the bowls!"

"Her bra?"I asked.

She shrugged and planted her head on my chest.

"Hey May, please don't think about Aug dying,"I told her.

She nodded and went back to the windsill bed.

"Greyson?"the doctor asked.

I laid Abbie's head down and walked to her.

"What's wrong?"I asked.

"She must have been drugged. We found traces of cough syrup and some unknown substance. She's a little tired but you can go see her if you want,"she explained.

"Thank you,"I say and walk to August room.

"Hey,"I whisper.

"Hi,"she whispers back.

I walk over to the side of the bed and grabbed her hand.

"How ya feeling?"I asked.

She shrugged her shoulders, "I thought I was dead,"

"What?"I asked.

"I remember falling, but I didn't know I woke up. I mean I woke up in the middle of surgery and saw the light and then it went dark again and I was dead,"she explained.

"You aren't dead,"I said kissing her forehead.

"Dillion, has Daniel told you?"she asked.

"Told me what?"I asked.
