Chapter 35

When I woke up this morning I was rested and felt fine. I eat my breakfast and that stuff and go outside to wait for the bus. Again today a person wasn't sitting in my favorite spot so I had two spots to myself. I sit down and look at my phone and wish my 3G was working so I could talk to Cleo. I then just play Piano Tiles. When I got to school I went to the lockers to see if Cleo was there and oddly enough she wasn't. The time passes and I miss her. Even though we see each other everyday I just can't resist going home and not seeing her. It's weird I know but still. Today we had an assembly so we all went to homeroom first and then we went to the assembly. When I get in I sit down with Edward. I look around us to see who is sitting close to us and I see Karen there. She looks at me as well. I look back at the screen in front of us. Karen then moves up and sits next to me. I am glad she did. I think she was doing it to be kind because I think she knew about me and Cleo. Her and Cleo are good friends. I wanted to thank her but I wasn't sure about what I thought why she sit next to me was true. Me and Karen got off on the wrong foot we have never really gotten along - ever. When Cleo finally enters the room with Payton and Kenna they see Karen and walk over to sit with us. I look over at Cleo and then at Payton and then at Kenna and say: "What's up?" They say nothing and I sit back and watch the performance. When it is time for the student body government people are called up Payton went up but not Cleo. Her name was not projected onto the board. Payton looked over at her like as if: "I'm going to kill you!" In a friendly way. When Payton gives herspeech I film her. Same as Mildred because we all wanted to se what super sassy smart alleck teachers pet thing she would say. When it is done the principal says that we have to back to our homerooms and that the teacher have a special surprise for us. We get excited because in my homeroom we all knew that we were going to play instruments all class. We all hate it. Except maybe for Mildred. When we get in we ask the teacher: "What is the secret mission?" He says the principal was probably joking. He then says get your instruments out. I wanted to kill him. Literally kill him. He is so annoying. We all get them out and we start to play. We play for about an hour when it is snack time we put our instruments away and we all bolt out of there. We get to snack and I find Cleo I go and hang out with her for the rest of snack. Then the bell rings for period 7. We go to period 7 and we start reading. When we are done reading the teacher just tells us to do whatever work we need to do. When the class finishes we all go to period 8. In period 8 the normal teacher wasn't there. It was a substitute. I am sitting on a random table I could find because Today was the seventh graders science fair project day. So all the tables were elsewhere. I wait for Cleo to come in and when she does she sits next to me and leans her body on me. After about 10 seconds she says: "Well this is awkward!" And stops leaning on me. I don't want her to stop. I don't know why she is so conservative about us. She doesn't really want to show the real us. I don't agree with it 100% but it's her life not mine. So I don't argue with her. When we are all in the class I am trading with Maurice and the teacher says we have to go to the science fair. I finish up with Maurice and then we go to the science fair. When I get there I see Cleo and some other people sitting outside. I thought they had gotten into trouble already and weren't allowed to go inside. I asked them what's up and they said that they didn't want to go inside. I agree with them and sit down next to Cleo. I open up my album and start looking through it. Then, Cleo takes my album and looks through it as well. When she is done she gives it back to me and I thank her. Then, the teacher comes out and says we can go back to the class. I walk to class with Cleo and Mildred and when we get in I sit on the same table I sat in when I came in. Cleo came in and sat next to me. She then rested her head on my shoulder. She stayed there for about 2 minutes then, she took her head off. I didn't want her to take her head off of me. I was still leaning against the wall when Vanessa and Victoria entered the room. Vanessa then sat down on the counter opposite from the table and started making heart-shape forms with her hands. Vanessa has become really annoying ever since I lost interest in her and she knew about Cleo and I's situation. When the teacher finally cam back inside we just started to do whatever because we had nothing better to do. I traded stickers with Marina and got like a ton more. I then head over to where people are on their phone and I see that people are crowded around Victoria. I go over to see what the comotion is and I see that they are seeing videos of black people. I stick around to watch them and then move on. For the rest of the class I just walk around and just stay with different people for different times. When the day ends I go to my locker to leave my stuff and go find Oliver and then to go to Cleo's locker. We all met at Cleo's locker. Payton, Kenna, Oliver, all of us. When the teacher got there our noraml room we couldn't go into so I just took us all to the music room because it had a mirror. We went there and we went in and the teacher showed us a video of human puppets. Cleo was leaning on me the whole time. I didn't want it to stop but she couldn't lean on me all day so we got dancing. The whole class went by and whenever we stopped to do something, Cleo leaned on me.  I was getting used to this leaning stuff. When the class ended I ran back to the lockers with Oliver. I race him there. I lose. We get our stuff and I say bye. I then walk to my car and get in and go home and talk to Cleo for the rest of the afternoon. I then say goodbye and go to sleep.
