Chapter 21 - Attacked

Reaper appeared in front of the golden door of The Council.

He entered, just to see that everything was trashed. The other council members were on the ground.

"St. Joseph!" Reaper approached him and helped him up. "What happened here?"

"It was the Grim Reaper!" St. Joseph exclaimed, holding both of Reaper's shoulders. "And he's angry!"

"The Grim Reaper was here?"

"Yes!" He answered. "He was here. He was wearing a disguise. He looked like a normal boy like your age. We thought he was a boy with a request because he was pulling something from his messenger bag. But it turns out that it was his weapon, a long chain with a large metal cross attached to it."

Something comes to Reaper's mind. He knows someone who was carrying a messenger bag.

"Why was he here?"

"He was running out of patience. He wants to take the soul of the three ghosts you are watching over." St. Joseph replied.

"Collin, Jessica, and Brook?"

"Yes."

Reaper was running towards the security room.

"Reaper!" St. Joseph called out. Reaper looked back. "Keep them safe."

Reaper nods and continued.

Reaper went through the monitor to look at the security footage. He rewind the footage to see what happened. He stop at the moment where he saw someone walked inside.

He was wearing a black jacket, blue jeans, and a gray beanie. A couple of curled hairs were hanging on his forehead.

Now he remembered who this guy was.

"Oh my Gosh." Reaper said.

The door suddenly made a clicking sound.

Reaper ran towards it. It was smoking with black smoke. He tried to open, but it was locked.

He cursed underneath his breath and pulled out his phone to call Collin.
