It was 2:39 am. The wind blew a branch against your window, having it make a scratching a noise. You were about to fall asleep to the strangely soothing sound when your phone rang.
"Hello?" You say in a groggy voice, rubbing ur eyes, answering the phone.
"Hey (y/n). Can you talk?" A soothing voice said.
"Hunter... it's 2:40 in the morning. Can't we talk later today?" You say looking at your alarm clock.
"Ok." He squeaked out. You heard something off. He sounded hurt and like he had been crying.
"Hold on. What's wrong?" You say hesitantly.
That's when he broke down and let loose a saddening cry. "Lea.. she broke up with.. with me."
"Aw.. I'm sorry." You say. I knew she was gonna do that. "Ima hurt that girl bc she hurt my baby." You say too loud, forgetting you were on the phone with hunter.
"Huh?" He said.
"Nothing. Tomorrow, come over to my house and I will comfort you. We'll do whatever you want and have everything that you love set up." You tell him. You could tell he was smiling when he told you ok. You smiled and then said goodbye. Then you went to sleep.
