The 3 Tests - Explanation

[A/n: I'm sometimes gonna refer to y/n as 'you' cause... idk]

"Hey y/n, wake up." Yoongi nudged your leg a little bit before he jumped off the ladder.

"Mm..." You rubbed your eyes. "What time is it?"

"Time for you to get up, we're leaving in an hour." Yoongi said before leaving his room.

Y/n picked up her phone, '6:30 a.m.' "ughh..." You got out of bed and went through your normal morning routine (dress, bathroom makeup hair stuff, pack a small bag, etc.). You walk downstairs to the kitchen to find the rest of Bangtan sitting and eating something.

"Good morning." Y/n says as she bows. The rest of Bangtan does their good morning respect as you sit down next to Jimin (near the end of the table).

"Hey y/n, do you want a piece of toast?" Jin calls out over his shoulder from the counter across the room.

"Yes please, that sounds great!" You reply cheerfully.

Jimin looks at you, "his cooking's not that great." Jimin whispers. "Be careful."

You laugh a little bit, knowing he was joking. Jin walks over with a plate and a piece of nicely toasted toast on it. "There's stuff all around the table, choose what you want to put on top." Jin says to you as he points around the table.

You look around as he walks to his spot at the other end. Y/n grabs the strawberry jam, "hey..." You say slightly. "What are we doing today?"

Namjoon swallows his last bite of breakfast then looks up at you. "You'll see once we get there. Just, be ready." He winks.

Y/n looks around confused, the other members only smile slightly, avoiding eye contact.

I guess it really is a surprise... You think to yourself as you take the last bite of toast.

-- time skip to the studio --

The eight members enter a small room at BigHit. Y/n sits on a chair while the seven men stand across from you.

Namjoon steps forward. "As leader, I'll be the one to day this." He like at his colleagues. "We've decided that we'd like to see your skills first hand, since you're new to us and the music industry."

Y/n sits up straight and attentively. "Like... What?" She asks slowly.

"You will be evaluated in three different sectors by all of us; your vocals, rapping, and dancing. You'll be given three days, each with it's own purpose, to train with the three different units. Then, in four days, you will find out how you've been evaluated."

Jungkook steps forward. "The vocal line is Seokjin, Jimin, Taehyung, and myself. Jimin hyung and I are the main vocalists." He steps back into his spot.

Namjoon straightens up, as he is already in the center. "The rap line is Yoongi, Hoseok, and I. Not that there's a huge difference, but I'm the main rapper and Yoongi and Hoseok are the lead rappers." [A/n: just what the internet said, I only looked it up for clarification].

Hoseok steps towards the center a little bit, with a small twirl. "I'm the lead dancer with Jimin and Jungkook." He looks toward this leader and finishes with "I don't really know what else to say" while laughing a little bit.  

"This isn't supposed to be a test, it's just so we can see what you're best at." Jungkook adds nicely.

Yoongi looks at you intensely, "ready?"

Y/n stands up confidently, almost knocking over the chair. "I promise I won't disappoint!"
