"I now entrust you with the Shorecrest Pack  as our new Alpha. We have the highest respect and trust in you to keep our pack thriving and at good terms with neighboring Allies. If you choose to revoke your title as Alpha, you will be eternally banned, disowned, and sent to the live with the Rouges by us. Do you except your role as a strong, honorable, respected leader, ready to die for the whole of our wellbeings?"

This is really boring.

"Yes, I do."

Is it almost over?

All of a sudden a strong wind picks up, rustling the gaurd-like trees, encircling all of us, connecting us to our roots. It's been two whole hours of this stupid ceremony the whole pack had to attend. It's the Inauguration of the oh-so-mind blowing- important leaders; our new alpha and beta of Shorecrest.

Oh Shorecrest! The ironic pack that is neither by a shore nor on top of a mountain or it's game! Not saying we aren't surrounded by moutains though. We live on the outskirts of a small town named Radford in Southwest Virginia. It's in a clearing in the forest, four miles away from town.

It's a little barbaric to have to live in the woods, but its my home.

"Hana! Hana! Hana!" I turn in my seat a little to see one of my freinds, Zara, causually looking ahead, even though i know she whisper-shouted out my name.

We sit in cluttered rows on wood logs facing a stage with a poduim and a bunch of Elders. Plus our future alpha and beta are there. Their names are Eli and Ari. They both go to my high school, but I have never talked to them. I see Eli sometimes in the hallways, reading, with Ari hanging on his shoulder.

Attention hogs is what they all are.

I smile at Zara ,then turn back around.

"Hana?" Zara calls out to me in my wolf mind link. It's sometimes freaking annoying, since anyone can do it who's within your catergory.

The categories, ugh! There's three of them: the Alpha group, the Beta group, and lastly/my proud group, the Omega.

We are seen as the weaklings in our pack, as with any pack, but we make up our bronze with brains.

I don't even think that applies to me.

Most omega children become doctors, sceintists, journalists, etc.Typically nerds. What I really want is to fight alongside the betas and alphas.

It's in me!

I think.

" Get the heck out Zara and watch the ceremony!"

Nothing is said from her so I decide to attempt to watch the inauguration. I tune in on the part where the future leader and commander take over. Great just peachy.

"Ari Wilson Halter of the Beta group, is now Commander in Cheif Beta of Shorecrest!" Shouts out Elder Johns as he places his hand on Ari's shoulder and bows his head to him.

"Bow" The Elders send this mind link to everyone, regarding group.

They are the only other ones who can get into everyone's mind besides the Alpha and Luna.

I'm surprised no one thinks of this as an invansion of privacy but me.

We bow our heads to our new Beta  by respect. Not bowing would be a rebel against what we stand for, that is respect for our council, which are the Elders, and our Leaders.

The Elders are like a school board, consisting of elite pack members from both our pack and neighboring packs. We go to them with major problems, well the Alpha does.

"Eli Mason Bates of the Shorecrest Pack in the Alpha group, is now our leader of the entirety of Shorecrest! The server of his people and the newest council member of the Board of Elders!"

Elder Johns bows and makes us bow again.

We stay bowed as the sky above darkens and the wind picks up. Howling can be heard and the forest surrounding us voices it's thoughts on our new leaders. After a few minutes of angry wind and a whole bunch of leaves falling, making little tornados on the ground, Elder Johns speaks.

"The forest has approved! Welcome our Alpha and Beta, Eli and Ari!" He howls and all follow in suit.

We continue to whoop and howl to Eli and Ari, who just stand there, soaking our praise all up.

Ugh!

"Attention seekers much?" Tells a voice that's not Zara's, but I know who's.

Riley.

"I agree! I mean seriously, all this yelling and bowing to leaders that are the same age as us?!" I spit back to him in pure rage.

"Han', you do realize if anyone heard this we'd be charged for defiance and most likely banned to the Rouges?"

He tells me this, though there's no urgency in convincing me to stop my outburst.

"So. As long as we get thrown out together, never seeing my parents would be fine by me."

I smile at the mental image of Riley and I leaving Shorecrest. It sounds great to me. Best friends on a long forever roadtrip.

"That would be cool, but  I don't  know if I can stand you for that long, Hana."

"Shut up!"

I hear his chuckle from somewhere across this open field.

"Stop laughing Ri'!"

"But I love it when you get mad! Makes me horny."

He whispers the last part.

"Pig."

"I'm your pig though."

I smile once again to myself.

"I love your smile Hana."

"Are you staring at me Riley Grey?"

"Nope you just accidentally happen to be the thing i admire and tend to creep into my mind a lot if you already can't tell."

Ugh, mind link jokes! I laugh at his corny joke anyways.

"Can't they put a shirt on?" Riley says this way out of the blue.

"What?"

"I mean it's fucking cold out here even if we tend to be extremely warm!"

"Oh you mean the Beta and Alpha?"

I lookup towards the stage and notice what Riley was saying. I mean we don't need to follow the part of taking off our clothes every two seconds, like displayed in Twilight, just to transform. Sure you rip your clothes off completely and make your mother mad to the point that she has made you start sowing your own clothes back together.

That's why I started  transforming naked.

However, they could seriously put at least a bra or a bodysuit on.

"Yeah your're right. Who would want to see perfectly chiseled abs and flexing biceps on Eli, when you can be stalked by a Riley Grey for Pete's sake?"

"I know right Hana and I'm not stalking!"

"Hehehehe you so were!"

"Where are you ? I want to see you now."

Riley demands

"I'm right by the Main House deck, but I'm sure you already knew tha-"

'Mine'

"Ha!" I screech out loud, falling to the ground, grasping my head. The howling of the crowd is too loud to notice yet. A loud piercing whistling sound rings through my mind, making me scrunch my face.

My wolf, did it just say .........mine?
