Hana's P.O.V
I should go back. I must look like a loner standing outside this place. I squirm as I stare at the immaculate house that radiates strength and overbearing levels of testosterone.
I can't believe I actually showed up.
Ari convinced me to come, even though it's against my will. I didn't want to tell him I wouldn't show when it sounded like a lot of effort went into this celebration. A sudden breeze blows at my dress, pushing the fabric close to my bare legs.
I don't want to go.
I stand on the dirt path, leading to the few steps up, waiting for some sign that I should go in.
Nothing.
I guess I should turn back, go home and find something to do. I think of taking a step back but my eyes are glued at the house. It's all dark and it doesn't seem like a party is taking place here.
Maybe I'm at the wrong house.
They all look the same but these ones have a beta symbol on the front. Each group has a specific symbol to present their standings and type.
Again, another thing to typecast us omegas as beneath the others.
As I keep worrying about going in, a strong gust blows my dress, displaying my butt in the back.
I squeal, pulling it back down. I try and act like nothing happened or that my embarrassment is reaching a high as my face heats up.
"Damn! That ass!" I turn around, livid that someone would say such words to me, just to find out it is Ari.
"Ari?"
He comes up to me, smiling like usual.
"You should be happy nobody else saw that or Eli would kill you. "
"Why would he kill me?" That guy has nothing on me. He can't dictate what I'd do and experience, it's my life. "I don't care what he thinks about me. "
That's an obvious lie and I believe we both know that. Ari smiles, raising his arms to surrender.
"Uh,okay. Whatever you say Han. "
Han? Is that like a nickname he thought of or could he not finish my four letter name?
"Han?"
"Yeah, come on. We better go in before the main attraction comes. " Ari rests his hand on my back, causally pushing me to the door with him.
"Is he okay with this? Like will he really freak?" I dare ask, not mentioning the subject's name but Ari knows who I'm subtly hinting at.
It doesn't mean I'm worried about his reaction. I just want to take into account that he could turn this on me when I had nothing to do with this dumb thing.
"Ehh, well, it depends. He's been rather busy, so have I, with a bunch of issues concerning the pack, so who really knows what Eli will do. I want to do this so he can relax; Becoming alpha is scary and stressful. He's still a guy, Hana, who's in high school. He has to live a bit before he's tied down by the pack and......well.......you."
Tied down to me? Well I get where he's getting at. When you find your mate, even at this age, children are expected to come soon after. Having pups and starting a family sounds nice but I'm not ready in the least for that sort of responsibility or commitment.
And not particularly with him either.
I still really don't understand him or want to trie to. He's not the nicest cup of tea and can definitely have a few more sugar cubes added to sweeten him up.
