RJ couldn't stop thinking about Dei as well. His best friend and business partner, Jerald, came inside his office to discuss something about one of their projects, but RJ seemed distracted.
"Hello! Earth to RJ!" said Jerald, while knocking on RJ' s desk.
"Hmmm?" RJ said, not even looking at Jerald.
"What is up with you, man?" Jerald said.
"What?" RJ said, finally turning in his swivel chair to face him.
"Did you even hear a word I said?" Jerald said, puting his feet up on the visitor's chair in front of him.
"Sorry, man! What can I do you for?" RJ said, while shutting his computer down.
"Never mind. Let me buy you a drink later." Jerald said, picking imaginary lint off his pants.
"Sorry, dude, I can't. I'm driving back to Katonah!" RJ said, while arranging papers and folders on his desk.
Jerald stood up and leaned on RJ's desk and said, "What? Why? It' s only Thursday! Wait a minute! Is there something you're not telling me?
RJ smirked and said nothing.
"Did you meet someone there? You did, didn't you? What's she like?" Jerald asked.
RJ laughed, but still said nothing.
"Is she hot? I bet she is! Did you fuck her?" Jerald said.
"Pffft!" RJ scoffed, "She's not like that! She's different...she's special."
"Ooohh! RJ's in love!" Jerald said annoyingly.
"Oh, shut up!" RJ said, grabbed his bag and walked out of his office to wait for the elevator, with Jerald right behind him.
"See you on Monday!" he said to a dumbfounded Jerald, before the elevator doors closed.
"But it's only Thursday!" Jerald yelled, but RJ no longer heard him.
He was already on his way home. 😃
