Cali and I have been talking a little during class. She makes me so happy and I seem to make her happy too. Jacqueline is the problem though. I like her too but I like Cali. She always greets me in the hallways and blushes. She is gorgeous too. I just don't want to hurt anyone's feelings. I need to think about this.

Ethan and I met up to drive home from school.

"Yo what's up?" Ethan said while I was going into his car.

"Just thinking." I said.

"About what?" Ethan asked and then thought for a second.

"Oh, Cali and Jacqueline?" Ethan looked at me and saw that I was stuck and confused.

"G, listen. Go with your gut. Take time to think. Who do you imagine spending a lot of time with?" Ethan said as he was driving.

"True. Thanks E." I was thinking.

"Tonight is the fundraiser. So if you win a date with Cali, enjoy it and get to know her and if you win a date with Jacqueline, do the same." Ethan told me.

"You're right." I told Ethan. Ethan always gave the right advice.

NIGHT OF THE FUNDRAISER

I got into my outfit that Ethan told me to wear.

I was telling myself I got this.

Ethan was driving me to the fundraiser and was giving me confidence, "Enjoy it bro. Make it the best night. Whoever you get a date with. Maybe someone else rather than Cali and Jacqueline can win a date with you. Just make it the best."

I nodded and looked out of the car window as we were pulling into the school.

I got out of the car and ran inside because I wanted to get there on time.

There was a sign that said guys doing the fundraiser had to go backstage in the auditorium. I got nervous but I let myself gain confidence.

I went backstage as I saw Jake and his friends shirtless with pants on laughing about something.

"What's up Dolan? Wow nice outfit." Jake said joking around with his friends.

"Nice abs you have there." I said looking at his abs noticing he didn't really have any abs.

Jake got embarrassed but then started to get really mad at me.

"Trust me Dolan, no one is going to want to go on a date with you." Jake pushed me.

I pushed him back and walked away.

People were out on stage one at a time. I heard people cheering and yelling.

"Grayson Dolan" I heard the principal saying.

I shyly walked out and I saw Cali then I saw Jacqueline.

"Bidding starts at $5!" The principal said.

"$50" Cali yelled.

"$70" Jacqueline yelled.

"$85" Cali yelled.

"$92" Jacqueline said.

"105" Cali said with confidence.

I was just standing there it was awkward.

"$110" This random girl said.

"$150" Cali yelled.

No one said anything.

"5,4,3,2,1" The guy said.

"There's your date." The guy said.
