"Who do you think you are? You think I'm just going to throw myself at your feet? Well, let me tell you one thing Alpha Damian, I'll never let a monster like you anywhere near me."
Ignoring how his demeanour changed I continued. Artemis started howling in distance begging me to stop talking to our mate in such a way. But I just couldn't. Innocent children's screams started echoing in the back of my mind, as heartless brown eyes came to mute them forever.
"Never. If you think I'll ever accept you as my mate you thought wro-"
I couldn't finish my sentence before I started doubling over as an unimaginable pain starting coursing through me. A hot searing pain started spreading throughout my body as my bones started to crack.
I screamed out in agony.
"Rosabella, Rosabella..." Was all I could hear of Alpha Damian's panic stricken voice, until other voices started joining him.
"She's shifting!" A voice called out. "Get her outside!"
I felt myself being picked up. Soft tingles spread throughout my skin, as the pain eased a little. Yet, still I felt as if my ribs were squashing my lungs. Heaving for air, tears started screaming down my face as I started breathing hard.
I felt coarse but tender hands on my cheeks, stroking me up and down, electrifying my body.
Mate.
Leaning in towards his touch, I felt soft moans escaping my mouth. The pain was easing.
"Rosabella, I need you to hang on" His angelic voice spoke.
Feeling the soft summer breeze on my skin, he laid me down on the ground. Bones cracking, I looked down at my arms. Even though I had blurry vision I could still make out hair sprouting out of my skin. The same was happening o the rest of my body. I was finally getting to meet Artemis.
Every werewolf is first introduced to their werewolf at age 16. However, it's just a voice in your head, not something you can turn into. The complete transformation begins at age 18, where the human part of you and werewolf part finally merges into one. There are some rare cases of werewolves of Alpha blood being able to transform without their mate. If a werewolf doesn't manage to find his mate in this lifetime, he will never be able to shift.
To give everyone a chance, the moon goodness allows second chance mates if a werewolves mate has fallen. However, if mates have found each other and choose to reject each other, they will spend the rest of their lives alone if not it being their demise.
"It will all be okay. It's just your wolf waning to come out. It will all be over so. Hold on" A soft unrecognisable voice cooed out.
With that said, a final crack was heard.
I was on all fours.
I felt something running through me, as my connection with Artemis started to rise. It was as though my consciousness was in the back ground and Artemis was controlling my movements but it wasn't. What I wanted to do instantaneously flowed through Artemis as she carried it out.
Knowing each other for two years, Artemis can read me like a book. We truly make a great team.
lifting my had up, I looked at the awestruck of Alpha Damian.
"You are beautiful." He said, advancing towards me and touching my fur. It was as if electricity was running through me.His touch felt so good. Involuntarily I started rubbing my head against him before stopping earning a questionable look from him and an annoyed one from Artemis.
"Rosabella" Tuning my head I saw Sierra and Xavier running towards me.
"You've shifted" Xavier started.
"Wait! That means you found your mate?"Sierra said excitedly clapping her hands.
I nodded my head.
"Who!?" She said.
"Me. I'm her mate" the beautiful evil creature said.
Sierra's mouth dropped open as she looked him up and down. Even though she was my best friend something about the whole process made me uncomfortable. I didn't like it one bit.
Artemis started growling before I could stop her, making Sierra com out of her trance. Immediately, she started blushing in embarrassment as se looked at the floor.
This of course earned a cocky smirk from Alpha Damian.
"Baby, I'm all yours. Don't worry" he said, winking at me.
If I wasn't in wolf form I would have had a few words to say , but Xvier already stepped in.
"You're her mate?" He said, eyes squinting as he looked at Alpha Damian with distaste.
This action yet again cause Artemis to growl loudly, before I could stop her. Alpha Damian came and placed a hand on her back which seemed to calm her on.
"Get your hands off her" Xavier spat out.
Alpha Damian started chuckling. I couldn't help but think of what a beautiful sound he was producing.
"And who are you, pup?"Alpha Damian said.
"I'm her brother you mutt. Disrespect me again and you'll regret it."
Alpha Damian just started laughing loudly, even though there was a sinister tone to it.
"I would love to see you try. I'm her mate. She is mine."
Many school members were crowing around us I just noticed. Both Xavier an Alpha Damian were radiating off power. However, it was clear who had the upper hand.
Alpha Damian remained calm whereas Xavier was livid.
"My sister would never accept someone like you"
This set Alpha Damian off. His eyes started turning gold before he shifted.
The last thing I saw was a pure black wolf barring his teeth as I fell into darkness.
