In the morning everyone headed back to their own homes. As soon as Cinna, Meri, B and Sugar got home they disappeared into their rooms and Dr Handson unpacked their groceries then left. When the front door clicked shut, Sugar crept into Cinna's room and leant against the door frame, smirking at her while she lay on her bed trying to figure out what she was doing with her life.
"So?"
"What?" Cinna raised a single eyebrow and her thin lips turned downwards at the corners making her resemble a grumpy toddler.
"I saw you come in with Spice in the early hours of this morning. What happened?"
"Keep your voice do-" A stampede of feet and the other two girls stuck their heads around the corner of the door. "Nothing happened, ok? I went out to get some fresh air with Clair and she fell asleep on me. He came out, I shot him some snarky remarks and left." Cinna rolled her eyes and started to head to the kitchen.
"Snarky remarks? Oh! You totally like him!" Biscuit squealed and Cinna turned sharply on her heels and glared at her. "You're not denying it." She pointed out.
"Oh don't bother with boys... girls are better in every aspect of a relationship." Meringue licked her lips and winked. "I mean, take it from someone who has-"
"TMI, Meringue. I don't think I'm going to be doing anything like... that with anyone anytime soon. And I'm not bothering with any boys, or girls for that matter. I'm simply... I don't know what I'm doing. Come on now, we all know I'm too socially inept and emotionally dead to catch feelings." The other three girls looked at each other as if to say good point and left it at that.
Later in the day, the girls were sat watching Harry Potter and The Half-Blood Prince when they heard a bang upstairs. Sugar went up to investigate and she wasn't expecting what she found. In the bathroom stood a short boy with short gingery-brown hair. Sugar let out a high pitched scream and a few seconds later, Meri came charging up the stairs with the baseball bat they kept in the lounge in case of break-ins. She thrashed him over the head and he crumpled to the ground. Biscuit and Cinna hurdled up the stairs and saw the scene in front of them. What were they supposed to do? Dr Handson would be back soon to lock them up for the night and they had a possibly dead child in the bathroom. Sugar suggested throwing him into the alley down the side of the house, Biscuit said they should explain what happened, Cinna decided to go to bed early and pretend she had no idea what was going on and Meri said they should tie him up and shove him in Cinna's wardrobe.
Surprisingly, they went with Meri's idea. They tied the poor boy's wrists and ankles together gagged him and threw him into the dark abyss of Cinna's closet. Dr Handson came home and ushered the girls into bed. As he finally came to Cinna's room, she held her breath and her eyes kept flickering to her wardrobe. Dr Handson kissed her forehead and said goodnight and there was a thud. He turned his head to the cupboard and Cinna did the only thing she could think of. She smacked her head against the wall and cried out in pain. He turned back to her and looked at her in confusion.
"Aha, ow, you know how I am Doc. I'm ever so clumsy." She tucked a strand of light hair behind her ear and looked up at him, giving him a coy smile.
"Right, well, be more careful in future..." And with that he slipped from the room, locking the door behind him.
After she was sure he was gone she slipped out of bed and got dressed. She pulled on her black jeans, a white shirt and leather jacket. She had kept her dark makeup on from the day and she slipped on some heavy black boots. Cinna then flung open her wardrobe door and out fell the boy from early. He wriggled and writhed so she placed her foot on his throat and lifted her middle finger to her lips, shushing him. She unlocked the door and let out her fellow cellmates. There was a huge purple bruise forming on the boy's left temple. Meri grabbed him and untied his feet. They went to Cinna's bedroom and opened the window. Biscuit dropped out first and landed without a sound. Meri then grinned sadistically at the boy and his eyes widened in horror. She grabbed him and pushed him out. He landed face first and everyone giggled. The other three followed suit and they dragged him along to the spot on the hill.
They arrived and there stood Mac and Clair along with Pepper, Liquorice, Lime and Spice. They watched in confusion as they dragged their catch up the hill. Mac shook her head and helped them up. Lime, Pepper and Spice watched in horror as they caught a glimpse of the boy's face. He had cuts all over him and a lump the size of a golf ball on his head. They looked from his face to the girls who seemed unphased by the situation. In fact, they seemed pretty happy. Clair ran to Cinna and pulled her into a hug.
"Are you ok, baby?" She looked her up and down and Cinna grinned.
"I'm perfectly fine, I quite enjoyed the experience." She winked and kissed the other girl on the forehead.
"Children, this is here why?" Mac went over and assessed the wounds of the now bewildered child on the floor.
Everyone gathered around him and he looked into each person's face, each showing a different expression. Concern, smugness, annoyance, happiness. Pepper then carried him over to the carousel and tied his arms around the main pole. They removed his gag and he went to scream. However, he got distracted by the view in front of him. These children were no longer completely human looking. He squeezed his eyes together. Each now had ears on their heads and tails swishing side to side. His eyes turned from fear to calmness. He had broken into the perfect house.
"You don't seem as scared as you should be." Pepper observed and everyone looked at him and squinted.
"Yeah, no shizz Sherlock." Meri rolled her eyes and looked back at the boy tied up, "He's clearly seen this before."
"I... I'm one of you!!" He cried, " I escaped with my sister... that's a point, where's my sister?"
"How would we know? Also, you're one of us??" Lime steered the conversation back onto the important topic here.
"Yeah, look," He suddenly sprouted pomeranian like ears that matched his hair colour and a stubby cat-like tail that had obviously been amputated by either him or his sister
They decided to untie him and he rubbed his wrists angrily. Just as they were going to sit him down and have a civil conversation about where he came from, a blur of colour tackled Clair to the ground since she was walking closest to the new boy. Cinna and Meri ran to her aid and grabbed the other person from their friend. Cinna pinned them down by the shoulders and bore her teeth, growling in the girl's face. The girl kicked and screamed under her and managed to bite Cinnamon's arm. She didn't even flinch, she just raised an eyebrow as if to say how immature.
"Ah... there's my sister."
The two did look very similar. Cinna rubbed her arm, Spice looked like he wanted to come and see if she was ok but Clair got there before him. Stroking the wound and pulling a plaster out of seemingly thin air. The bite had gone deep enough to draw blood and Cinnamon kept muttering that she was going to get rabies. Macaron took the girl and sat her down next to her brother who she hugged tightly. They were named Brownie and Cookie. They decided that they would be best sending Brownie with the lads and hiding him there while Cinnamon, Biscuit, Sugar and Meringue would find a way to hide Cookie in their house until they found other arrangements.
With that, the siblings parted ways and the girls took Cookie home with them. They hoisted her up into Cinna's room. She was only short and was younger than the other four girls. They decided she would be best in Sugar's room since she was the best behaved and wouldn't cause suspicion. She slept on the floor next to her bed and the other's went to their rooms, thinking about how on earth they were going to hide this from Dr Handson.
