Dr Handson arrived on the morning and took the girls to the third floor for their tests. Cookie had climbed out of the window in the early hours of the morning and was awaiting Sugar to tell her it was alright to come in. The girls were physically perfect,  but they knew that if Handson did a mental test at that moment then he would realise that their mental states were deteriorating quickly. They were permanently stressed, tense and anxious.

Once he left the girls helped Cookie back inside and got her some breakfast. It was perfect since Cinnamon never ate breakfast so Cookie could have her rations. They sat in silence in the kitchen looking at one another, they needed a long-term solution with these kids. They were also very curious about how and why they escaped. Clair's words came to Cinna's head and she tried to push them to one side, without much success. They weren't normal, they didn't lead normal lives. They were experiments, that was all.

Biscuit decided she was going to do some cleaning so Meri and Cinna were left looking after Cookie since Sugar decided to take a nap. They sat the small girl down at the table and her eyes sparkled with fear. The two girls grinned at each other and turned to her.

"How'd you get out?" Meri purred

"Pardon?"

"You know what we mean, how'd you and your brother get out of your experiment housing?"

"We cut the trackers out of our necks and left through the window with our dinner rations. That was a couple of weeks back." She looked at her hands and the girls could see a wound on the side of her neck.

"How did you get the trackers out??" Meri had gone paler than usual.

"Regular ol' kitchen knife does the trick." Cookie replied casually.

"Fair enough," Cinna saw the look on Meri's face, "What? I've cut myself with worse... Anyway, I'm going to my room, if you need me, get Biscuit to do it." And with that, she disappeared to her room to think.

The lights were out and it was raining outside so only a little light came from the window. Cinna sat watching the droplets run down the glass as trees bowed in submissiveness in the nearby forest. The wind howled in pain and Cinna's thoughts were taking a similar turn. They needed to get out of the house, they needed to leave this place. The more she thought about how they lived the more she realised she didn't want it. Where would they go though? And she couldn't leave the others. They would have to plan it perfectly. They'd never be able to pull it off, there was too many of them. But what if they could? They'd be free.

She stared longingly out of the window and put her headphones in, leaning her face against the cool glass. Sighing heavily, she pondered what to do. She wanted to leave so badly, but she would never leave without Clair and the others. She knew all of her roommates would leave with her which meant Pepper, Liquorice and Salt. Maybe Spice would come along. Clair would come with Lime. Milkshake would have to come with Meringue due to them being siblings. Everyone would have to bring their own rations and spare clothes. Cinna wondered where the two escapees were heading.

Everyone had a destination... what was theirs?
