Chapter 4: The Test

     I wake up to the sound and smell of sizzling bacon. I rub my eyes and look at my phone, the clock says 10:38 a.m.. "OMG I'm late for dance!" I think to myself, then I remeber the studio caving in on itself and dance being canceled, I also remeber that we won regionals and we are on the first week of our three month break.

     I get off the couch and stretch, I walk into the kitchen to see who is making breakfast. I see James, Hunter, and Eldon passing eggs around and putting them into the frying pan like it's some sort of game, it looks fun.

    

     "Morning sleeping beauty." Eldon greets me.

    

     "Morning prince charming!" I reply with a smile. I pull him out of the kitchen and talk to him about what happened last night.

    

     "Babe what happened last night?" I asked

     "I actually can't remember... one second we were all over eachother then you pull my shirt off and from there it was one huge blur." Eldon replied.

    

     That's weird, I guess we will never know what really happened... Maybe we are better off not knowing anyway.

    

     I walk into the dining room and sit with Emily and Riley. We share a good morning group hug, it felt nice to be friends with Emily, no more ridiculous drama.

    

     "So how did you guys sleep?" I ask.

     "James and I were talking about life and stuff... it was nice." Riley replied. it was clear that she wasn't telling us everything, however I was fine with it.

     "How about you Em?" Riley asked while snapping out of her trance.

     "Last night was amazing... I would tell you guys, but let's keep it PG." She says with a giggle, we all laugh. Moments later the boys walk in with our breakfast.

     "Breakfast is served madame!" Hunter said in a French accent. Emily blushed.

    

     We all sit down around the table and eat, it was delicious.

    

     "I gotta hand it to ya... I never knew you guys could cook so well!" I said.

     "What can I say?...it's a gift!" James said.

    

     After breakfast the boys went into the kitchen to wash the dishes. Emily motioned Riley and I to come in closer so that she could tell us something.

    

     "Follow me upstairs." She whispered.

    

     Riley and I did as we were told, we followed Emily into her room and closed the door.

     "Girls, it's no secret what happened between us and the guys last night. I want you both to take these." She pulled out some packages from underneath her bed.

     "Pregnancy tests?!" Riley and I yelled while still whispering. "Was that really what happened last night? Did Eldon and I go all the way?!" I thought to myself.

     I zoned out thinking about how I could have let this happen then I came to the conclusion that it didn't... Or did I?

     "Michie, it's your turn." Riley said. I could tell she was nervous, I was too.

     "Uhm...ok I guess." I said awkwardly.

    

     We all finish taking the tests and we are now patiently waiting for our results.

    

     "Negative!!" Riley screams.

     "Mine too! Emily says while jumping up and down with Riley.

    

     I went last so I'm still waiting for my results. A few moments later the results are in. I look at the test results an I feel a tear roll down my cheek. Emily and Riley notice.

     "Oh my God, no...no Michelle..." Emily said. She grabbed the device out of my hands and reads the results...

    

     ...It read positive.

    

     "I'm only seventeen... How could this happen?" I ask. I'm almost angry with myself.

     "I don't know Michie, but Em and I will be by your side the whole way through.

     "Thank you." I start crying even harder, Emily and Riley pull me into a hug.

    

     I need to speak with Eldon.
