hyunji pov

"wake up!! it's the first day of school. jinyoung and my friends are already downstairs so hurry." my brother said as i lazily sat up and got ready. i never understood why school started at 7:40am.

before i headed downstairs and put on a bit of mascara and lip tint along with some blush. the uniforms made everyone and everything look boring so a little bit of makeup helped get rid of the boring look. i curled the ends of my hair and put it in a ponytail.

"as expected of hyunji. always pretty no matter what" jinyoung said as he stood in my doorway. i laughed and we walked downstairs together.

here i was with 10 boys. some of them, i was close to them. while others i wasn't so close to. but being with all of them started to make me happy. i liked being with them.

we all walked to school together. we laughed, smiled, made jokes, became obnoxious. it felt amazing, to be surrounded by such amazing people. i noticed jeongin was a bit quiet so i slowed my pace down to match his.

"you okay?" i said as i looked at him. his head was blocking the sun so it made it seem like he was glowing. he looked so pretty, so unreal, so-
"hyunji? are you listening?" i heard jeongins voice ring through my ears as i stared at his face.

"h-huh? sorry i zoned out." "anyways as i was saying, i'm just tired and nervous. it's the first day of school and later i have to work so i'm a bit stressed out" he said as he rambled on about his so called busy life.

"you'll be okay. and if anything, i work at a cafe. i can get you a job there with reasonable hours and good pay. it'll be worth it kid" i said as i smiled and got on my toes to ruffle his hair. he smiled back showing his braces. my heart was racing rather quickly, my breathing became heavier, i never felt like this before it felt... foreign. the things he did made my heart race so much.

after jeongin gave me his killer smile we walked in silence behind everyone else who were oddly loud. since we were already at school everyone looked at us and greeted us. i laughed at how felix and seungmin were acting like the 'kings' of school.

"yah, we're in the same class.. AGAIN" felix said to seungmin as we all looked over our schedules. "i'm in class 12-B" i said which caused felix and seungmin to widen their eyes at me. "what?" "WE'RE IN THE SAME CLASS! you basically skipped like a grade or two." i laughed at their stupid remark and walked towards jeongin. '12-B'.

i wrapped my arms around jeongins shoulder. "felix, seungmin. all four of us are in the same class" i said as i smirked at the boys in front of me as i felt jeongins body tense up.

this school year is going to be fun.
