The room was silent and dark. The only light came from your mini flashlight. The book you were reading was getting into an action scene. The main character found out that the gemstone leads to the evil queen's lair. Sweat was streaming down your face. A worried look decorated you. The main character found the lair and met face to face with the evil queen. You hoped that he stayed safe. That's when you closed the book shut. You heard some voices coming out of your parents' room.
¨Yes Mr. Choi. That sounds good. We'll take a Korean course and move to Iksan when we have mastered most of the Korean language. We can't wait to teach the children a second language. Thanks for the promotion. I'll contact you later. Farewell.¨ You heard your mothers voice in the other room. She was on the phone with someone who offered them a job. Your father has told you about this. Mr. Choi offered them a job as English professors in a middle school.
The name of the school was Chung Dam Middle School. You were going to attend it. You had no knowledge of the Korean language. How did someone in South Korea contact them? At least they were getting paid a bit more. You got up from your bed and turned the light on. It hurt your eyes. The hall was isolated, so you assumed that your parents were in their bedroom. You knocked on the door.
Knock, knock
¨Hey Y/N, come inside and look at our future house.¨ Your mother called you over. Your eyes caught a catalog in another language, probably Korean. The house she pointed at was pretty normal. Two floors, small backyard, and beige siding. It looked pleasant in your perspective. The price made your eyes go big.
¨105,845,000?¨ You asked. Your father laughed, ¨Y/N, that's the Korean price. The currency of South Korea is the South Korean won. That symbol, the w or ₩ is won. The price in US dollars is 100,000. I believe that's accurate.¨ He scratched his chin. You calmed down. The price was good for the house.
¨Y/N, you have to learn Korean with us. Since you're going to attend a Korean middle school. Your dad already found some classes we can take. The course starts Saturday. It will be every Monday, Thursday, and Saturday. After we mastered it, we'll move to a town called Iksan, Korea. Stay tuned.¨
¨Sounds cool mom. I always wanted to learn a new language. Too bad I have to move and tell my friends. In some months, at least. Bye!¨
You went to your room. Damn, you were going to move to Korea in. It did interest you. The culture seems beautiful.

You sat down on your desk and waited for your friend, Lena. The class was going to start in 5 minutes. You saw brown hair cross the door. It was her.
"Hey, how are you." You asked her.
"I'm good." She smiled at you. Being a 7th grader was hard. Math was specially hard. Algebra was the worse.
"Also, I have to tell the table something." You said. She nodded at you. The teacher's voice rang in the classroom. Class was going to start.
~~
"YOU'RE MOVING TO KOREA?"
You nodded and tried to smile.
"We're going to miss you. Stay safe over there. When are you going to move to the republic?" Lena asked.
"In some months. I won't be here for 8th. I'm going to spend the rest of my life in South Korea. Well, there's 2 months of school left."
They all understood. You were going to miss them for sure.
A/N: Oh my. This isn't my first time writting a fan fiction. I have done it before. This idea just popped into my head. You're going to Korea in the next chapter.
