Chapter 12 : Trials Of The Lightsaber

(Yavin IV out in the wilderness : Kyle is training with his lightsaber as Aela and Vong are shooting at him)

''You got the blocking part right but you can't just hit the laser anywhere..you have to look where your deflecting it,'' says Jack as he is sitting down.

''Yet...The key word to that is yet,'' says Kyle as he blocks some blasts.

Jack would signal Aela and Vong to stop firing. Kyle would deactivate his saber.

''Like i said, you got the blocking part right but you can't deflect the blasts anywhere so try to stay in the moment,''says Jack as he sits again.

''I am in the moment,'' says Kyle as he reactivates his lightsaber.

Aela and Vong would start firing at him again as he blocks one of their blasts to a stormtrooper helmet.

''Nice job...I think you might actually survive in a real battle,'' says Jack.

Kyle would continue to block the shots for about a minute until Jack stops Aela and Vong again.

''Alright let's move on from blaster deflection to dueling,'' says Jack.

''Wait why did we not just practice at base?'' asks Aela.

''It's better out here fewer distractions and it keeps your mind focused.'' says Jack.

''And because the kid will probably hurt someone,'' says Vong as he laughs and heads back to the Shadow with Aela.

Jack and Kyle would stand next to each other as he shows him form 4 and different ready positions.

''There are many different forms but i mainly like to ridicule myself because i'm more of a close quarters fighter,'' says Jack as he swings his saber around using form 4.

''Ok i think i'm more close quarters too,'' says Kyle as he copies Jack with form 4.

''Alright then let's get started,'' says Jack as he gets in front of Kyle.

''The blades wil be drawn too each other,'' says Jack as he gets in his ready position.

''Block High,'' says Jack as he swings at Kyle High.

''Block Low,'' says Jack as he swings Low.

''Middle,''says Jack as he swings in the middle.

''High,''says Jack as he swings High.

''More complicated than I thought,''says Kyle as he blocks Jack low using Form 4.

''Energy constantly flows through the crystal and becomes part of blade...Your actions and thoughts become part of the blade,''says Jack as he swings middle.

''Let's stop with blocking and get to attacking,''says Jack.

''Ok,''says Kyle.

Kyle would then charge to Jack but he blocks him then force pushes him back. Kyle then gets back up then starts swinging at him.

''That might work on a non-force sensitive but not me,''says Jack as he blocks Kyle's swings.

Jack would continue blocking as he realizes it's just to easy so he calls Vong off the ship. Jack and Kyle would then stop training as Yavin would end it's sunset then be in complete darkness.

''Ok, let's take a break,''says Jack as he and heads to the cockpit of The Shadow while Kyle heads to Aela's room.

(Cockpit)

''Soooo how's Kyle doing with the training?'' asks Sarah as she drinks coffee.

''Slowly, still taking him through the basic forms of lightsaber dueling,'' says Jack as he sips some coffee.

''Hey, can you radio Ben too send some supplies from the base,''says Jack as he walks out the room.

 Sarah would call Ben.

''Hey Ben, Can you get some supplies for us?"' asks Sarah.

''Sure, What ya need?" says Ben.

''Food and anything too drink,''says Sarah.

''Alright, I'll see what i can do,'' says Ben.

(Aela's Room)

''Hey Babe, how's the lightsaber dueling going?'' asks Aela as she hugs Kyle.

''Pretty good, more complicated than it looks,''says Kyle.

''Reminds me of the Dark Saber....'' Aela whispers to herself.

''The What saber?'' asks Kyle.

''Nothing...''says Aela.

Jack would come in Aela's room.

''Hey Kyle, let's go, training's starting,''says Jack as he runs out of the ship.

''Bye Aela,'' says Kyle as he kisses her and heads outside where Jack and Vong are.

(Outside)

''Sometimes you'll have to fight enemies that don't have just 1 but 2 sabers and since vong only has and electric staff i guess you can pretend it's a double saber,'' says Jack as he sits to watch Vong and Kyle fight.

Kyle and Vong would run at each other and would start swinging as Kyle has the advantage due to force powers. Kyle would force push Vong to the ground as he drops his staff. Kyle would grab it as he plants it on the ground claiming his easy victory.

''Not bad kid,''says Vong as he gets up.

''It's not kid, it's Kyle,'' says Kyle.

''Yeah whatever,'' says Vong as he grabs his staff and walks back to the Shadow.

''I sense a great disturbance in the force.....''says Jack as he closes his eyes.

''Whats wrong?'' asks Kyle as he walks toward Jack.

(Coruscant)

''Lord Vader, i sense a great disturbance in the force....The Jedi Jack Cooper is training a new apprentice who is learning more and more,'' says Emperor Palpitine.

''Yes Master..I Sense it too,'' says Darth Vader.

''And yet i also sense something more....Skywalker's apprentice,'' says Palpitine.

''The apprentice lives master?'' asks Vader.

''It was heard..'' says Palpitine.

''This is an oppurtunity we cannot let pass..The capture of 1 Jedi can lead us to other Rebel cells or perhaps other lost Jedi,'' says Palpitine.

''Such as Kenobi,'' says Vader.

''For now...Be patient my friend..we will catch those Jedi...'' says Palpitine.
