Flowers

Humming you skipped down the sidewalk in your dress full of wonderful flowers. In your hand you had a wooden basket that was currently bare of anything. Today, you were going to the park to hunt for eggs and pick flowers!

You couldn't be more excited. The warm breeze rustled you hair and dress. The sun lit up your face. Today would be a good day, plus, it was a chance for you to have some fun before you had to go to school tomorrow.

Arriving at the entrance of the park you stopped to look around. There were children everywhere laughing and having fun, adults who were chasing after them trying to get them in check, and just everyday people trying to enjoy a peaceful day at the park.

But really, in all honesty, you didn't care about them. What you were looking for and was most excited about, was the boy right in front of you. His whole attire and aura offset the mood of the scenery, but you could care less. Looking off to the side he had a scowl on his face as his arms and legs were crossed.

He didn't want to be there and you knew it. But you didn't care.

When you spotted him through the crowds and herds of people walking in front of your view you couldn't help but get excited.  Standing on your tippy toes, you put the biggest grin on your face, as you waved with the hand that wasn't holding the basket.

"Levi! Hey Levi, I'm here!"

His head perked up as he looked around, once he saw you, his eyes lightened a bit, but his face still held a sour expression. You were going to run to him, but your father (who hadn't spoken a word until now) stopped you.

Your turned back to him, confusion written on your face as your brows got closer to one another. "Are you sure you're going to be alright, I'm kind of worried to leave you here alone. I mean you're only six, what if someone-"

You stopped his speech by holding up his hand and huffing. "Dad there is no way on this Earth that I'd ever  let someone take me. Plus I have Levi who could beat anyone up at anytime so I don't think you should be worried."

Your dad didn't look too convinced, but he sighed anyway and rolled his eyes. Stepping back and crossing his arms he looked at you, "Okay, but remember, if anyone tries to come and take you-"

"Scream as loud as I can and run home? I know Dad! Now can you please let me go now?"

Raising his hands up in surrender he said, "Okay okay you win. Just be safe, follow the rules, and stay with Levi."

You could barely hear him as you were already half way to your friend that was seated on a bench.

Sighing again your dad walked away shaking his head.

Once you got to your friend, you couldn't stop your excitement. You jumped up and down and cheered. "Levi I'm so glad you came! I didn't think you'd show up so I got scared and I was like 'oh my gosh I hope he shows up' and here you are and I'm-"

Rolling his eyes he put his hands up, "(Y/n) you're doing that fast speaking thing again. Stop. Breath. Plus it's not that big of a deal. It's just Easter."

You rolled your eyes at him and grabbed his shirt. "Levi. Ackerman. It's Easter! The Easter! Our first Easter! How can you not be excited? Freaking eggs full of sugar! Leviiiiii!"

Levi turned his head so you wouldn't see the smirk on his face. His bangs covered his eyes as he said, "Okay okay calm down. I still don't see why it's that big of a deal though."

Sighing, you pulled him off of the bench he was sitting on and dragged him further into the park. "Come on Levi, I'll show you the true magic of Easter."

Stopping at a bush you saw an egg and pickled it up. "See? Magic. Try looking for eggs or like pick me some pretty flowers or something."

Levi in return grumbled and trudged away looking for the bright colorful eggs that were hidden. Turn in a whole 360 and walking deeper he couldn't find anything. Grunting a again he tried squinting and began lifting up leaves and looking behind objects that might possibly conceal them.

He was beginning to get angry. Why was he looking for stupid 'magic' eggs anyway? Kicking his foot into the dirt, he gave up on his goal and went to the other.

Goal number two: find flowers or something

Going towards a bush that held some pretty decent ones, he got his basket ready.

He looked at them, judged them, would they be good enough. Eh, who cares, a flower is a flower right? He picked one, then another, then another. He stopped until he felt it was the right amount, then he moved on to different ones.

He picked those until it was enough.

God, why did he have this job? Also God, why did you rising magically turn into a day where a bunny laying eggs with candy in them is acceptable?

World will never know I guess. He shook his wondering thoughts off  as he looked for you. Not finding you at first he got worried. Once he found your floral printed dress and fancy shoes and socks, he was relieved.

As he made his way over to you, he let his hand pick up random flowers. Once he got to you, he peeked into your basket as saw how many eggs you has. "Wow you got a lot of eggs. How you find that much," he questioned.

He then looked into his basket and was quite disappointed seeing as he had no eggs and barely any flowers. You looked up from the striped egg and grinned at him, plopping it into your basket.

"It just a talent of mine. Just like being grumpy is a talent of yours," you replied back as you laughed lightly.

He grumbled and looked away, "I am not grumpy."

Laughing again you grabbed his hand and dragged him to a bench. Pulling yourself up, you patted your hand to your side for him to sit too. He got the message and climbed up next to you. You pulled his basket on to your lap and looked at the flowers he got.

"Wow Levi these flowers are so pretty! Thank you," you exclaimed looking at him. He shrugged and looked off into the park at the other kids still searching for things.

Turning back to your flowers you started to connect them together, while Levi popped open eggs and ate the candy that was in them. He leaned over your arms to see what you were doing, but you moved away so he wouldn't see. He looked to your face and back at the flowers as he tried to move closer, but you just moved farther back.

When you didn't comply he just crossed his arm and huffed, his cheek full of chocolate.

Soon though you were. You finished your product and laid it down in the sidewalk for him to see. Every flower was attached and made a pretty picture. Levi gripped the sides of the bench as he leaned over it.

"What does it say?", He questioned.

You looked dead in camera and said, "APRIL FOOLS!"

Then you started to rapidly dab. The cameraman in the set sighed and rolled his eyes saying, "Cut!", Loudly.

There were groans in the background on set but you still dabbed and laughed. Levi couldn't stop laughing either. After he calmed down he said, "Did you really think the author was going to continue this story? Come on you're so gullible!"

The cameraman shrugged too and said, "Yeah that was pretty stupid. I mean the author hasn't even looked at this story in two years."

The director came out on set and looked into the camera, "Yeah sorry viewers. This story is over, sorry you wasted your time. Bye!"
