Chapter 11: Eye Contact and Misunderstandings

Mark's POV:
My heart immediately stopped when I saw that message from Jungkook. What did he mean "today was fun"? They hung out together? It was only noon so that meant they hung out in the morning. What could they possibly be doing so early? Making out by the beach? I got pretty jealous by that thought. Don't get me wrong though, Jungkook's actually a really great friend of mine. If they were dating, then I would have to see them together frequently. How my heart would burn, not from hatred, but the pain of having the most beautiful girl I've ever met be with someone else who can easily make her happy.
When Tzuyu got back from the bathroom, I immediately brushed away my feelings and smiled at her. God, why is she so gorgeous? I knew I had find out whether Tzuyu liked me back. I had to make my move or I would go crazy thinking about her.
     "So, we've been pretty good friends but we don't really know much about each other..." I started, looking at her eyes.
     "That's actually true, I don't even know your favorite color," Tzuyu replied.
     "Red," I blurted out a little too quickly.
     "What?" Tzuyu asked.
     "Oh, sorry. Red-it's my favorite color," I said, a little embarrassed.
     "Oh mine's indigo..." Tzuyu laughed, seemingly enjoying my embarrassment. After that, we decided to play 20 questions to get to know fun facts about each other. We both learned that we love puppies and our favorite ice cream flavor is cookies and cream. I also learned how she kisses the air when she's sleeping, can flip her tongue and learned to skateboard for a commercial. It was really refreshing to just talk to someone about random things. I've never felt more at ease yet nervous around a person before.
     "So, do you like someone?" I asked teasingly to make sure the conversation wasn't awkward.
     "Oh, uh...nope?" she said, trying to deny it. It was obvious she was lying, and I felt dejected internally. Externally, I pretended like I didn't care.
     "Tell that to your blushing cheeks!" I joked.
     "Well, I think I do like someone but I'm not sure if he would like me back..." she said honestly.
     "I'm sure that he would have the same feelings as you," I exclaimed.
     "He's really caring and nice. He notices the little things and that's what's so romantic about him. The thing is that he could probably get any girl and I'm afraid if we ever did together, he would later find someone else whose funnier, prettier, smarter, and more likeable than me," she explained wholeheartedly. At these words, a whole wave of emotion flushed my body and I began to express why she was the best girl I've ever met.
     "Don't say that, I think any guy would be so lucky to be with you. You're so beautiful inside and out. You have it all, and not just your looks. You're one of the most relatable yet unique girls in the world. You're so pure and mischievous at the same time. Not only that, you're also the funniest, kindest, most caring person ever. I love how cute you are, and I could keep going on and on about how meaningful you are to me. All I'm trying to say is that no guy should ever think they've found someone else better because you're the best thing they've had," I said with all my courage. Her face was definitely pink and her eyes looked like she'd been hit with an arrow. She was so shocked and I've never been more scared in my whole life- scared that I would lose her.
     "Mark..." she said softly. Before she could say anything else, I pinned her against the wall and kissed her with all my heart. She was still for a second but then she kissed me back, even stronger than me. It felt like fireworks had exploded and we were trying to let out our all passion.
      After what felt like forever, we pulled back and she said with a huge smile,
     "I like you."

Although I haven't updated in so long, I hope this makes up for it :)
Fun fact 11- one of my favorite songs at the moment is Love Scenario by Ikon, and I just recently learned how to play it on the piano.
