Kj's POV
July 6th [9:20pm]
"Corinne I don't even know what to say other than I'm sorry. Goodb-" she hung up on me. I rested my head in my palms as I thought about what I'd just done. There was no way I could continue to be with someone I didn't truly love anymore. My heart would constantly drift back to Cami as much as I forced it not to. Without hesitation I picked up my phone again. I pressed Cami's name and let it dial for a few seconds.
"Hey Kj" she said. My heart raced once I heard her voice. Although, it was loud in the background, she was definitely out.
"Uh hey Cam what are you up to right now?" I asked nervously.
"I'm out with Charles why?" I heard my best friend Charles laughing in the background.
"Kj man stop with the cock blocking and go hang out with your girl." Charles hollered into the phone.
"Well we kinda broke up." I said sharply.
"Sorry Kage..." Cami said into the phone. She paused a moment and continued, "We have to go, talk to you tomorrow?"
"Y-yeah, uh have fun." I stuttered and hung up. Boy did I mess up.
The girl, whom I still liked, was out with my best friend. It was all because I made the stupid decision to date some teen, and I was all caught up in the moment. The only thing worse was that filming season 3 was starting tomorrow. Seeing Cami with Charles was going to break me, and there was no way I could tell her how I really felt. I blew it.
Cami's POV
July 7th [6:15am]
I couldn't help but think about Kj's phone call from last night. Evidently he called because he was trying to start something up again, I mean he broke up with his girlfriend.
Charles was in the drivers seat, his right hand on my thigh as we made our way to set. We'd basically moved in together the past couple weeks and he made me more than happy. Charles was mature, at least more than Kj was. It was Kj's own fault he didn't make a move before Charles did.
"You okay babe?" Charles asked and grabbed my hand.
"Yeah I just keep wondering if it will be awkward, you know, doing scenes with Kj now that we're a thing." I replied.
"Listen Cams, if you need me to go talk to h-"
"No please don't that'll be way worse." I said gripping his hand.
"If you don't want me to then I won't...and well I mean everyone already suspects we're together let's just tell everyone today" He said with a shrug.
"New season, new us" I smiled.
Charles and I walked into the first read through holding hands. The entire room was filled with murmurs and a few wide eyes.
"Charles and I are dating there you go guys." I said as he placed a kiss on my cheek.
Everyone grinned except for Kj who looked down at his palms in his lap. Cole whispered something into his ear and Kj shook his head slowly. Overcoming the awkwardness, I walked over to the two open seats which just happened to be beside Kj.
"Hey" I said I sat down beside him. Though he said nothing in response.
"Kj please talk to me." I whispered, Roberto had started talking to the cast.
"Hello Cami nice to see you again." He said in a sarcastic tone.
I rolled my eyes and placed my palm on Charles leg. Kj's eyes shot over to my hand and he sat against the back of the chair, his eyes making their way to the ceiling.
"Kj why do you look so pissed?" Madelaine asked in front of the entire table.
"I think we all know." Charles said with a snicker.
