Backstory: Sunrise got mad once and accidentally killed her mother because she got in the way of the attack on a dragon who attacked Sunrise.
Sunrise murdered her father because he was evil. No one knows she killed him they just think he disappeared. Sunrise's mother was an icewing and her father was the first skywing animus to ever hatch.
