As I walked in the cold June nighttime breeze, I rubbed my arms and felt the goosebumps that covered my skin from being in the cold. I walked on the sidewalk and stared at the pavement trying to not step on the cracks like I have always done since I was 5 years old. I looked up from the ground and looked around to see me surroundings. I suddenly felt another presence around me in the area. For someone who rarely goes out and around people, I still am able to detect the presence of others. I whipped my head around to try to find the other person that I have felt by me. I began to gain my walking speed to the point where I was speed walking. My legs started to cramp up and it was getting hard to keep walking. I was pretty sure that my legs would give up on me at any given time. I just had to get away from the other person near me.
