Another week pasted, Jonah and Daniel picked me up from the Team 10 house and brought me to the office. We checked in and Mary took us into her office. She told us all that we would start to try to talk and we would start very simple. She told me how to focus on my vocal box. "So, let's start with the sentence, 'My name is Sapphire' okay?" She said. I put my mind to focus on my vocal box and trying to say the sentence she told me to say. "M" I started by I couldn't say the rest. Mary, Jonah and Daniel encouraged me to keep going. "M-M-m-my n-n." I said getting further than before. "Try again, keep going Sapphire!" Daniel told me. "M-m-my n-n-nam-me I-I-I-is.." I tried to say my name, but it didn't come out. "Once more Sapphire." Mary told me. "M-my n-n-name I-I-is S-s-s-sapp-phire." I said. It sounded rough and grumbly, but I said it. "Yay, Sapp! You did it!" Daniel said with a lot of excitement and he pulled me into a side hug. "Good job Sapphire, keep saying it and your original vocal sound will come back." Mary said. "My n-name I-is S-s-sapphire." I said and kept saying it over and over. I soon did hear and feel my original vocal sound come back. "Wonderful, that is way more than enough for today. Until next week!" Mary said hugging me tight.
