4. First date

“Oh no you don’t. Come on A is your sister.” Clara tells her and Liz just makes a face and crosses her hands over her chest

“By blood only. She is a spoiled little brat with short skirts and low intelligentsia.” Liz says and Clara just laughs at her mouthing ‘Be nice’.

Liz makes an annoyed face and spreads her arms as Alexis is about to give her a hug. She was not found of the way her sister lead her life it was as if she was a supermodel now she knows why her mom felt disappointed in her. Alexis was all that she wanted a perfect doll but as she said before her life not hers.

“Oh sis we are going out tonight if you want you can come to.” Alexis offered and Liz just plastid a fake smile on her face

“Sorry Alexis but I have a date tonight all do it’s fake.” As Liz said that Alexis looked at Clara who answered

“Long story.” At that Alexis just shrugged her shoulders

“Well then some other time I guess.” She said as the man behind her coughs “Oh I almost forgot this is Alex.” She said as Liz looked at him head to tow

“Let me guess plastic surgeon?” Liz asked and he shook his head

“I’m a cardiologist for children actually and I work in St. Mary’s hospital down town. That remands me I have to go Alexis.” He says as he gives her a kiss

“So are you going out with us tonight Alex?” Temperance asked him and he give her a brilliant smile

“No I can’t dance because of a medical condition called being cohesion.” He said as hi gives A another kiss and lives as they laugh at his joke

“Wow Alexis he is not that bad. Actually he has a soul.” She said to her sister with irony in her voice “You will be dumping him by Friday.” Alexis made a shocking face and said

“Well you are just jealous because a man in my life is real and yours needs batteries.” Liz exhaled at that statement.

“Well I have to go. I can’t believe I said yes to this job why didn’t she come to one of you and asked to date him.” She said reproaching

“Because you own this place and we don’t.” Clara said and Liz took her bag and started to walk out the door “Will you guys look for me please.” She yelled and they just nodded knowing that she was already out the door.

Liz was looking at her closet and she didn’t like what she saw the date was in and hour and she didn’t know what to wear. Well give her a brake she didn’t have a date since well collage. Her policy was that love was something only desperate women believe in and that it was never good to use your heart to think with it and to finish it off to her ‘Love blows’.

Thinking of the last time she went on a first date she noticed the red dress she wore. It seemed like it was firs date material. It had short sleeves and it want a little below her knees. She forgot how good she looked in that dress it was complimenting her body like she was made of curves. She pulled out her dark red hells and was ready to go.

There was a knock on the door and she knew it was Matt by looking at the clock. Well at least he was on time. She took her purse and a deep breath saying to herself ‘You can do this’.

When she opened the door Matt was standing there in all his glory with a smile on his face

“Hey.” She said to him and he just nodded his head to her giving her a red rose that he was holding behind his back. “Thank you.” She said

“You are most welcome.” He said “Are you ready to go?” he asked her and she just nodded as they walked out of her apartment.

He took her to a nice little restaurant near the Thames there weren’t many people so that was good for him.

“Do you always take your dates her?” she asked as they sat down and he smirks at that

“Well this is the first time I’m here actually.” He said and she looked shocked

“I really don’t know if i should believe you or not.”

“I’m rooting for give me a chance.” He says as she nods her head and he continues “So what do you do for a living? You obviously know who I am so.” He said waiting for her answer

“Well this will probably sound strange to you but I’m a break up artist.” She said with a smile waiting for his reaction to come

“So what is it that you actually do as a break up artist?” he asked and she took in a deep breath

“Well let’s just say some people have it hard to break up with a man or a woman and they heir me to do it instead. Or for some people getting rid of a one night stand.” She explained and he nodded his head as he drank his wine. He had ordered it in the mean time that she was telling him about it.

They sheared a nice meal while talking about her job and how something seemed strange to her and he was actually listening to her and she was a little surprised at that. By her formula man don’t do that they don’t listen or apologize the only thing they do is make you fall in love with them and then break your heart. Matt was nice and she could barely believe all the thing Angela told her about him. He was not the guy she described. Matt was a proper gentleman and he took her for a walk by the city even at the risk of being seen.

When he walked her to her door it was almost midnight and she smiled at him when they reached her apartment.

“I had fun tonight and it’s been a while since I had fun.” She told him as he laughed

“Does that give me a chance of a second date?” he asked still laughing

“If I give you my number it does.” She said as he started pulling his cell phone for his pocket. She entered her number and saved it in his list of contacts handing him his cell phone back.

“I’ll call and I’m not just saying that I promise.” He said and she laughed

“Is it strange that I believe you?” she asked him as he shrugged his shoulders

“Maybe.” He said as he leaned down to give her a kiss and to her surprise Liz let him kiss her. She always refused to kiss a guy on the first date.

With Matt it was different the kiss was soft and she felt like she was in haven. When he pulled away she felt like she was missing his lips like a part of her was missing.

“Goodnight Liz.” He said as he walked away and she went in to her apartment

Now she knew she was in deep trouble.
