Chapter 8

Jace leaned his head back and closed his eyes, while Ed and I jut rested our heads on the table before us. Minutes later, I slowly feel myself falling asleep.

Jace' P.O.V.

I woke up from some loud crashing of waves and very loud roaring thunders. I rubbed my eyes and stood up to see what was happening. I looked at the clock and saw it was 2 in the morning. I was walking towards the windows when all of a sudden, I fell on the floor. "Ouch!" I caressed my arm that hit the metal wheel. I hold unto the wall beside me and stood up. "Oh my god" I breathed out as I watch the scene before us. Infront of us, was fast approaching dark clouds with lots of thunder.

"Ed!Breanna! Wake up!" I shouted at them. At this time, I can't move my body even my eyes can't leave the scene happening before me. I heard some groans on my back and shouted again "Not now! We need to get back now!". "What the?!?" Ed stopped beside me, his eyes never leaving the same thing I'm staring at. "Oh my gosh! Jace! Ed! Move!" Breanna shouted. "Go get the vests and wear it! I'll drive!! Go get the bag with our devices! And Jace, the anchor! Be careful!" Ed shouted over the loud roars of the thunder and waves.I pulled up the anchor then I got the bag and pulled my phone and dialed dad's number. I called all the contacts but their isn't any signal, due to the storm approaching.

"Uhh! Fuck! Why aren't there any signal!" I shouted. "Try the radio!" Ed shouted. I got the radio and called them. "Ugh! Won't work too!" I shouted. Breanna burst through the door with some bags and vests. She tossed me one and I wore it immediately and she helped Ed wear his. "What's with the bags?" I asked. "Boats, Snorkels, swimming thingy-s" she shouted. "I hope there's some Internet connection!" She shouted. She dialed her friends. "Shit... Won't work either!" she gave up and tossed our phones back in the bag.

Shan's P.O.V.

I woke up panting and sweating. No, I know that wont happen. I dreamt of Breanna and her two cousins sailing in the oceans in the middle of a strong storm. I saw fear in their eyes but they're still calm. Then just before I woke up, a lightning struck the boat which cause it to break in half.

I checked my phone and saw there weren't any messages from Bri. I left her a message before sleeping again.

Chelsea's P.O.V.

God, why can't I sleep! I woke up 2 hours ago and now I can't! I thought. "Hmm.. Wonder what Breanna, J and Ed is doing in the middles of the sea." I whispered to myself and slowly got off the bed so mum won't wake up. I went downstairs and got some snack bar on the cabinet. Then I hear

A loud thunder, I went upstairs and to the balcony. I saw very thick clouds with thunder from the middle of the sea. I go back and tried to sleep, the snack bar made me sleepy.

Breanna's P.O.V.

Two hours.

Two hours and we're still carried by the waves. We gave up when we realized we cant control the ship... we let the waves carry us to wherever it takes us.Minute by minute, the yacht would tilt 90 degree to left then right. It was like shaking a box with 3 balls inside, and we were the balls and the yacht is the box.

"Ed, hand me a pill" Jace looks so sick as ever. Ed handed some pills to him and he swallowed it fast. "Is everybody okay?" I shouted. They nodded their heads at me. I fixed my hair into a ponytail when suddenly the yacht tilted to the right which made me fall daw first on the floor. "My nose! My precious nose!" I shouted and rolled on my back. "Grab my hand!" Jace offered me his other hand. I grabbed it and lifted myself up. "I told you this is not time for fixing your hair" Ed chuckled a little. "I fixed it so I can see properly... It's blocking my eyes!" I said. "And hey! No chuckling when were rolling in a boat in the middle of the storm." I smirked at him. "Look" Jace whisphered. "Is the sky clearing or is it-" I was cutted off by Ed saying, "Lightning".

Infront of us were very low,dark clouds with non-stop lightning, from the sky to water. "Guys, if this is the end, I love you" I shouted as tears started to form in the corner of my eyes. "This is not the end, Bri! God loves us." Ed laughed with tears starting to flow out of his eyes too. "Boys don't cry" I laughed. "Then I'm gay!" Jace cried. "Close your eyes and breathe" I took a deep breath and held my cousins' hands tightly in mine. We waited for the lightning to hit the ship, praying we will survive.

Shan's P.O.V.

I actually couldn't sleep all night, I felt like something was wrong. It was now five in the morning. I decided to give the gang a call.

*Convo*

Shan: Hey guys!

Matt: Why up so early?

France; Is something wrong?

Rain: Bet he can't sleep bc of thinking about Bri.

Jane: Goodmorning BreaShanna!

Carly: Hey!

Matt: So what's up?

Shan: can't sleep, I have this nightmare about Bri and her cousins lost in the sea and swallowed by storm. I can't sleep.

Rain: Shit. They slept in the yacht right?!?

Shan: Yea...

Rain: There's a big thunderstorm in that area!!!

France: You're kidding right?

Rain: Turn the damn tv on!!!

Then gasps are heard in the background.

Jane: It says the storm is still strong and not moving! And it reached the land five hours ago!

Shan: It wouldn't be that bad like the one in my dream, aren't it?!?

Rain: I don't know Shan.

Carly: Do you think the Brooks know already?!?

Shan; Call them!

Matt: They could be already away from the coast! Or...th-they could have been carried away by the big waves already!

France: Calm down, everything would be fine.

Shan: I'll call you later, try reaching for their phones!

I ended the call and called Chelsea. Two rings then she picked up. "Who dares to wake Chelsea this early in the morning?!?"she shouted at the phone. "Chelsea, listen. It's raining hard there isn't it?" I asked. "Yeah, it's pretty heavier this time." She yawned at the phone. "There is a storm there, it reached the coast at 2 pm, and I know Breanna and your cousins are somewhere in the sea. Breanna did say they couldn't see any trace of land or any light, which means they could be in the middle of the sea. They could be trapped in the eye of that storm! Wake your parents up!" I said as my voice turns shaky and panic comes back. "Fuck- I mean fake! Fake! I'll be right back!" She shouted at the phone then I heard heavy footsteps on the background.

"Shan, dear. Thank you so much for everything, right now our main priority is her and her cousins. We'll call you later" Sabrina, Breanna's mum said. "Alright Mrs.Brooks" I ended the call fast and called Mr.Brooks.After 30 minutes of trying to reach his phone, he picked up. "Hello? Good evening?" His big, low voice booms through the speaker. "Mr.Brooks, did you know already?" I asked . "Yes, Shan. But I know she's strong, they'll survive. I've taught her survival tips when she was younger" he chuckled but there was a sadness behind it.. "Don't worry, she'll be fine. I'm positive"... I hope...

"R-rescuers are now working on it... So all we can do is sit and pray." He said with worry ,evident on his voice.

"I need to go, bye! Take care!" He tried to cover his worry with a laugh but failed miserably. "Ok, bye!"I hung up and layed flat on my back.
