The Courageous Mermaid

Final Chapter

     Eric was by the shore by the shore playing with his dog, Max. Suddenly, Max started barking and running near the sea. Eric ran after the dog and saw a lady. The lady had a hard time walking and almost trip so he ran faster to catch her. He looked at her in the eyes and felt something familiar. His heart started beating fast. He started at his eyes for so long until Max started barking again. He came to his senses and helped the girl stand in his own feet.

     “Have we met before?” Eric asked.

     “Sort of.” the girl answered shyly, putting some hair behind her ears.

     “You’re the one I’m looking for, the one who saved me!” Eric said in glad tone.

     Eric introduced himself to the girl who was named Ariel. He asked her where she came from and she said far away so he decided to invite her to the castle. Everyone in the castle welcomed the beautiful visitor. Everyone seems to like Ariel and one of his fellow said that he should marry her. He thought that would not be a bad idea but he doesn’t want to overwhelm the lady.

     During dinner, Ariel was wearing a beautiful gown which adds more to her beauty. Eric was mesmerized that he could barely have a spoon from his plate. He found out that Ariel travelled away from where she came from to follow her dreams to become a voyager and also inspire people to be compassionate towards sea creature.  Eric fell in love with the girl and her aspirations. He told her that he has a ship and he would be glad to sail the world with the girl. Ariel said she likes the idea.

     They sailed from Europe to the Pacific. During the trip Eric and Ariel fell in love with each other deeply. They face the waves and the storm together. They had a daughter named Moana and instead of going back home they decided to live in an island. They named that island Tahiti and there they lived happily ever after.
