"Ariel! Where have you been? I was worried about you." King Tritan said the moment he saw his daughter.

"She went to the surface again to see the voyagers." Flounder told Ariel off.

"What? How many times do I have to tell you that being on the surface is dangerous! What if humans could see you?"

"They're not dad. They're just like us but with legs. Also, I want to become a voyager myself. I want to have legs and sail a ship." said Ariel straightforwardly.

"Are you out of your mind! From now on no more going to the surface! You can't swim beyond this castle until you will return to your senses!" King Tritan reprimanded.

"What? No, you can't do that to me!" Ariel started to cry.

"Yes I can because I'm the king and you  are my daughter. My word is the law!" King Tritan said firmly.

Ariel turned her back from her father and went to her room and wept.
King Tritan felt sorry for her Ariel but he must do what he can to protect his precious daughter.Later that night he dreamed about her daughter runing away from home ans went to the sea witch, Ursula. He woke up from his nightmare and went to the oracle for some advice. The oracle said that he should support his daughter's dream and let her live a purposeful life.
