Anna and Kristoff headed down to the docks, where Count Fidenza’s and Rainer’s ships had put down their anchor. Upon hearing that there was a feast for the sailors at the castle, all the sailors had left the ship, even the guards Rainer and the Count had brought with them had left their positions and asked for Arendelle guards to block the entrance of the ship while they were off to the castle.

“Princess Anna!” one of the guards exclaimed as Anna emerged with Kristoff behind her.

“Is this Count Fidenza’s ship?” Anna asked, trying her best to summon the authority of her sister Elsa.

“Yes, your majesty!” the guard said.

“Make way, the Arendelle Ice Master and I wish to take a tour of his ship,” Anna said, her voice calm and even. “And you are to tell no one of of this. Do you understand?”

Confused, the guard nodded and made way for the princess. “But your majesty, none of the sailors are on board.”

Without wasting another moment, Anna strode past him. Kristoff gave the guard a sympathetic smile and followed Anna. He knew what it felt like to be treated like this by a woman, and a princess no less.

Once she had boarded the ship and made sure that the guards couldn’t see her anymore, Anna closed her eyes and exhaled profoundly. She had developed the habit of acting somewhat high and mighty whenever she wanted something badly. She did that when she asked Kristoff to take her up the North Mountain, and she did it again with the guard.

“Alright, good job,” Kristoff said as he stepped beside her. “Now, where are his quarters?”

“His what?”

“Count Fidenza’s private room,” Kristoff repeated. “A ship of this size should have at least two private rooms. One for the captain, and the other for the master of this ship. If we can find the Count’s private room, maybe we can find letters from Rainer or Prince Hans.”

Before Kristoff could say another word, Anna strode ahead with confidence, crossing the deck, seemingly with no goal.

“What are you doing?” Kristoff asked.

“I’m going to find those letters!”

“We don’t even know if my suspicions are true, Anna,” Kristoff said.

After calming down Anna’s explosive determination, Kristoff sneaked across the ship with careful movements, trying to make as little noise as possible.

“Do you know where the rooms are?” Anna asked.

“Shhhh,” Kristoff hissed. “We don’t know if all the sailors have gone to the castle. Maybe some of them are still on the ship.”

Walking towards the back, Kristoff opened a large door and entered the interior of the ship. The corridors were constructed by some of the most skilled craftsmen in all the kingdoms, with wooden images of angels carved into the walls and the floors covered with soft red carpets.

“Wow,” Kristoff sounded. This was by far the grandest ship he had ever seen. Even if Count Fidenza wasn’t colluding with Prince Hans and Rainer, this ship still showed the raw financial firepower of his kingdom.

Penetrating further into the ship, the pair sneaked along the walls. They walked past a map room and a larger dining room with candles and a large wooden table that was far too fine for the regular sailors. This room was meant for Count Fidenza to dine in.

After several more minutes, the pair had finally reached the back of the ship. They stood in a narrow corridor with two doors on the right and another door on the left.
