"I can't do it", she whispered; "I tried, I really did. I just can't do it. No matter how much I want to be able to do it, I just simply can't."
Madison was walking up the stairs thinking about what had just happened. How much she hated herself for not being able to do a simple thing like running for a couple of minutes. She blames all kinds of blessures and colds, but she knows this isn't entirely true. Offcourse she has her weak knee, bad breathing and a cold, but that wasn't what made it impossible for her to do it. She was talking softly because she didn't want her parents to hear it.

Texting:
Hayley; In two weeks we have to run for a mark, do you want to practice?
Madison; Sure! When? How often? Where?
Hayley; I think every day, there's a park near to my house.
Madison; I think that's a bit too much for me, can we do one day, next day not etc.
Hayley; That's fine too, when do you want to start?
Madison; How about tomorrow?
Hayley; I can't I've got practice.
Madison; You always with your homework and hockey practice, then the day after tomorrow?
Hayley; Sounds good, I'll see you at my house at 8p.m.
Madison; Okayy see you tomorrow at school, byee
Hayley; haha see you tomorrow, byebyee
--------------------------------------------two days later---------------------------------------------
"I'm so excited!",Madison shouts. "Shhhhh, be quiet, my brother is ill."Hayley sais while putting her hand on Madisons mouth forcing her to be quiet. "Relax Hayley, he probably didn't even hear it, let's go!", Madison is already walking outside. Hayley walks after her and shuts the door, they walk to the place they picked to run. "Ready?", "Yeah I'm ready, let's go." The two girls start running according to the training programme they installed, one minute running, one minute walking and that repeated for thirty minutes. They have a lot of fun and complete the whole program, they're a bit tired at the end but it was definitely worth it. They are proud of themselves and saw some cute guys.
The next few times they try to run it doesn't go as well, they get tired an start walking too soon and too long. They both get all kinds of pains and Hayley gets so sick that she has to stay in bed for a few days. When the day of Hayley's running test comes, she decides not to do it but instead do it two weeks later. Madison has her running test the day after, she is starting to feel a little bad about it and decides to do one last practice with some other friends from her class.
They go running where they have to run for the test too, Madison's two friends make it but she herself starts feeling light in the head and coughing up saliva with a bit of blood. They stay a little longer and have some fun, but Madisons head is still at tomorrow's test. However will she get a sufficient if she can't even do it right now. She wants it so bad, she has been practicing all year. She has already had an insufficient for the same thing two times before and wants to prove that she can do it. While cycling home she realizes, it's just not possible for me. When she gets home she walks strait upstairs to her room.
---------------------------------------present day--------------------------------------------------
Today is the day of the test, she has to do it. Not just because her mom told her to, but to show that even if she knows it's impossible she will still try and never give up. She gets up early, gets dressed in her sports clothes, does her hair and make-up, packs her back, eats and leaves to go to running place where the test will be done.
Once arrived she sees her friends are already there, they wave for her to come and join them. She walks up to them but bumps into another guy there to do the running test. She gets up and walks away, her friends are giggling. Madison thinks they're laughing at her because she fell in a funny way, but before she can say anything about it one of her friends asks; "Didn't you see who that was? The guy you bumped in to I mean." "No, why?", Madison asks. "He's the guy you've had a crush on all year.", her friend sais while the rest are still giggling a bit. "O no! Are you serious? Ow my what will he think of me now, I didn't even say sorry or something.", Madison starts to worry. "You'll find out soon enough.", another friend sais; "Here he comes."
Madison turns around finding herself to be standing right across from her crush, his name is Robbie. Madison doesn't really know him, she has only been in the same group as him when they had to give new students a tour around the school. Still she knows that he is the one, he doesn't only look good, he also has a wonderful personality.
Robbie starts to talk; "Couldn't you at least have warned me before you would almost knock me over." Madison stays quiet looking at him with questions "It's a joke, guess not too good of a joke when I have to explain it." a slight smile and roselike colour appears on both of their faces, Robbie continues; "So you have to run this test too today? You know I saw you running the other day, but you seemed too busy to talk so I decided to talk to you later.". "You saw me?", Madison sais; "Wow that must not have been too charming looking.". "Didn't look too bad if you ask me.", both start to blush even more, "Well I guess you're going to get a good mark after all that practice.". Madisons face changes; "I don't think so, I practiced yesterday but I didn't get any further than half of what's needed for a sufficient."
Then the teacher calls everyone to come to the starting point and explains ones more how the grading works. Madison doesn't even listen, she's not going to get a sufficient anyway. Then she feels something on her arm, Robbie grabbed it and asks something which Madison doesn't even hear, she just nods. When they start running it soon becomes clear what Robbie had just said, everyone is supposed to run with someone else. Robbie asked her if she wanted to run with him.
They start, Madison becomes tired and has stings of pain very fast but she runs on since she doesn't want Robbie to have a bad mark because of her. Before she knows someone sais they have to stop running. Madison doesn't have a clue of how far she ran but assumes that it isn't enough for a sufficient. Then everything turns black.
When Madison wakes up she has no clue where she is, she looks around the room. White, flower vases, cards and in the corner on a chair..... Robbie. She tries to get up but Robbie sees her and lays her back down. "What happened?", Madison asks; "Where am I?". That moment a doctor walks into the room; "What happened it that you fainted after your running test, you were lucky this young man was there to catch you or you would have fallen on the ground and could have had serious brain damage.". Robbie quickly adds; "You did get a sufficient though, not just any sufficient, but a nine.". Madison stares at him in disbelieve, how is that possible, instead of asking about the mark all she says is; "Thank you Robbie." And falls back asleep.
Later that day Madisons parents and her friend Hayley come to visit her, they tell her she has too stay a few more days but after everything will be back to normal. Then Robbie enters the room, Hayley whispers into Madisons ear; "He stayed with you all night to make sure you would be okay.". Everyone leaves the room, it is difficult but Madison starts to talk; "Robbie, you didn't have to stay with me. You have school and other stuff to do. It's not that I don't appreciate it but you have important stuff to do.". Robbie forces Madison to stop talking; "Madison, I stayed because I wanted to. The truth is, I like you and I think you are more important than school or any other stuff."
--------------------------------------a few days later----------------------------------------------
Madison recovered and was released from the hospital, Robbie didn't leave the hospital for even a minute. Since a day after Robbie told Madison he loves her, the two are a couple. Madison did get some damage from the fall though, she broke her right leg at two different places. She now walks around with crutches and when needed in a wheelchair.
