Chapter 13; We are undefeatable

Robbie's P.O.V.

After Jared told us Hayley hadn't been conscious since the accident Madison wanted to go to the hospital to right away. She showed nothing but I could feel her clutching my hand, holding it tightly, as if it was the only way not to break out crying. Just as we were decided we would stay at the hospital until we were allowed to see Hayley, our names were called over the speakers. "Will Robbie Kay, Jared Gilmore and Madison Lively please report at the principals office immediately."

The people in school acted different, not just the students but also the teachers. They all stared us down as we walked across the halls. Some whispered something, others just stared and some girls giggled. I am used to people responding like this when I walk by, as is Jared, still, it was somehow different this time. It was as if people were only looking at Mads, she held my hand through all of it. "Mads, why is everyone acting this... Weird?" I whisper to her. "My friends just told me of some rumors that have been spreading through the school, it's not important now, I'll explain later." The tone of her voice made me think it was important but she just didn't want to tell right now.

Jared's P.O.V.

We arrived at the principles office, and all stood still for a moment, staring at the door. I overheard Madison telling Robbie that there were some rumors about her, though I best not interfere with that right now. I break the silence, "should we go in?" They both look at me, their bodies relaxed a bit, their hands were still clutched together. "Let's get it over with" Robbie responded.

Alex's P.O.V.

I sit anxiously awaiting my friends return. Both Jake and Ollie are expecting me to "contain the situation". We discussed the plan one last time last night with Hayley's friends. We all agreed that Madison should not know of the horrors coming until Robbie had the chance to explain himself. He is a complete fool at times.

Jake's P.O.V.

Robbie walks into the cafeteria, Madison to his right, Jared to his left. Madison and our group of friends became one big group and we all eat together at our usual spot. All three look snow-white, with widened eyes and faded smiles. Whatever it is the principle has told them, it can not be good.

Oliver's P.O.V.

I am worried about everyone, this was supposed to be our best year. We all joined together and had tons of fun ideas for things to do. Now that is all ruined, just because they let that stupid bastard out because of good behavior, he's barely even been in there. All of the sudden, Madison speaks up over the crowd, "So they let Felix out, who cares? He might be back in our lives, but that doesn't mean we should give him the power to ruin everything for us. We're just going to continue with the plan and have fun. We'll complete our shared bucket list and no one, not even Felix, can stop us."

Robbie's P.O.V.

It keeps surprising me how Mads is always so to herself, tangled up in thoughts and then all of the sudden speaks up with determination in her voice. It amazes me how she, with everything she has been through, keeps on following her dream. I admire how strong she is, even though I know how she can break down when she thinks no one can see. "You're right, but for now, we should just get through the day and.." Jared's phone rings, stopping my sentence. I can see his look softening, guild and fright give place to relieve and astonishment. He hangs up without having said anything but "when?" and "Thank you". He keeps quiet for a second and when he tells us we all feel a moment of bliss. "Hayley woke up. They say she will be just like herself again in a few days. We can visit after school during visiting hours."
